Rich
I would like to see us try and take the piss, too, btw, but something is stopping us from doing so. I think we've shaken on something to get the takeover through, personally, but it could easily just be that it's not the way PIF wants to present itself to the wider world. SteV
Just now, Dokko said: Did I say breach? I said Chelsea style. Bend the system till it breaks. Sell a golden lifetime box, the women's team, a square patch of land on the training ground. Whatever it was, judt not selling 2 promising young players and miss out on another. In an ideal world yes, but you can’t just magic things up to get round it. We haven’t got a hotel to sell. Our women’s team aren’t in the WSL so aren’t as ‘valuable’. As it is the whole Anderson/Vladdy deal was a massive bend of the rules. We did as much as we could without venturing into the realms of something we would get punished for. Villa will sell the women’s team to a holding company I think to cobble together the cash to stay compliant.

wormy
I'd have taken the points deduction. Who needs the CL and a Cup this season when we could've prepared ourselves to.. maybe get the CL and a Cup next season?

We could and for me, should have got creative and pushed as hard as possible and tie the lwsgue up in knots in court like citeh. You asked, thsts my take, always has been and always will be. Psr needs to go and I'm happy to see the club push masters off a cliff when possible.
christ
I can’t believe the club haven’t called upon N-O’s PSR experts to tell them how to get around the regulations.

Your position is an answer to a bit of a different question really.
aussiemag
Surely with our recent success in Champions League qualification in 2 out of 3 seasons and winning the EFL cup. We can get higher value sponsorhip approved from FMV?

I think it’s simply a case of the rules being drafted broadly so that they can be applied selectively, specifically with us in mind.
Joelinton7 Posted Wednesday at 10:07 Share Posted Wednesday at 10:07 They changed the rules after this. We never did anything close to what this nob was alluding to. We’ve been forced to sell two extremely talented young players. Liverpool are about to spend £116m on one player. I’m quite disappointed at the club’s lack of pushback against PSR. andycap
Still can't believe we aren't getting money in from stadium naming rights training ground and training kit. All the other clubs in the league have that money coming in but not us. Puts us at a serious disadvantage.

Yes we'll spend the pennies allowed in the regs but not seeing massive investment in the infrastructure yet, they've had plenty of time. But you're right, if we're just an investment piece then it doesn't make sense we're not trying to maximise the value of the business for almost no outlay. Terraloon
Morning from the sunny south Have a look at the attached I am pretty sure that UEFAs definition mentions that you can’t or shouldn’t make deductions for impairment of intangibles( players transfer costs ) are swept up in intangibles) but my point is that whilst we know that amortisation isn’t a deductible it doesn’t say in the rule book that impairments aren’t Thoughts ?
