Shearergol
Bruno needs a CB behind him who he can trust to both receive the ball from him and get it back to him. You could tell he really struggled tonight with only fullbacks to use.

I thought Tonali and Barnes both shone, Livramento was positive when he came on and Longstaff was actually solid. Bruno wasn't at his best, Joelinton will admit that was a poor one from him and Gordon still looks like he's way off his best too. Hopefully it all starts to click soon. Biggest positive for me in that game was Barnes, he was very good in a game where lots of players were struggling. Tonali was class obviously, better than we had any right to expect. Shadow Puppets
Mixed performance. Played well until Willock went off. Lost our way, and then picked up again for the last 20 mins. All in all though a pretty positive first 3 games of the season, especially considering we aren’t out of 1st gear yet.
toontownman
Lots to be a bit pensive/irked about in our play, gaps we are still leaving in the middle, poor finishing and final balls, but some really nice passages of play at the start and end of the game. All that is eclipsed by the Sandro love at the end. Beautiful stuff and hopefully a real boost for everyone. It made me forget any of the shitness! Praying for a reasonable draw and a breakthrough or 3 or 4 in the transfer market over the next couple of days! Man City away and no signings it is then.. Vaj
Thought we were great in spells and poor in spells again. Similar to the weekend but a bit better. Really need a centre back of quality this week to give us a boost
Guybrush
Such a strange game. Just kept thinking, what happened to 'intensity is our identity'? Lovely scenes at the end mind, especially considering it's 'only' the second round of the cup. Nice to see even at this stage it matters to the team, and the fans love it. The Prophet
Grinding out results while not playing well is a good trait, but no doubt we need to improve. Hopefully we kick on from the last twenty mimutes and the momentum of the shootout win.
Memphis
Two wins and a draw from three games, two away from home, and we've yet to put together more than 20 minutes of good play. I *think* that bodes very well for us but shit it's hard to watch in the meantime.
