Add Walker-Peters or Lamptey for backup and jobs a good un for this summer. Can it compete for title? Not sure - as it perhaps lacks the star quality of Liverpool and Man City in particular but definitely top 4 worthy. Would also want 3-4 youngsters (Cordero is one, Korean is 2) to keep things fresh and ready for the future. Stay off Champ man mate

Crimson Cardigan
What is this Walker-Peters stuff? I have a vague memory of him being somewhat promising during Southamptons mighty Ward-Prowse “era”. No top side would go near him now surely?
Dr.Spaceman
We're not signing 5 players who have played a lot of Premier League football and will improve our first team squad, surely. Oh, and bringing in two red hot prospects on top of that.

Fak
KWP is bobbins. We have Tino who can play either side, Trippier who can play either side and Burn who can do a job at LB. I'd rather Krafth came in for the odd game if needed over KWP.
kingxlnc
I can see us dropping 150-160m this summer. Maybe Longstaff pure profit and Willock might go - with Miley and Pedro covering that Whatever the case is, I feel the team does need 4 minimum first team ready signings at the very least. Dr.Spaceman
Southampton utilised him in a variety of positions, which is funny given they looked like they did not know what they were doing tactically for large parts of last season. He'd be fine coming here as this seasons Lloyd Kelly type signing to cover in two defensive positions.

We looked like a team gasping for a break from football with Isak, Wilson, Gordon, Murphy and Barnes all looking either tired or out of form. 5 hours ago, Keegans Export said: We had an excellent record against the bottom ⅓ or so last season. This problem with "breaking down a low block" is a myth in my opinion. That's not how/why Bournemouth, Fulham etc beat us. We should double-down on Eddie-ball, pace, pressing etc. but that is going to take at least five new additions otherwise we won't have the depth to carry it out across multiple competitions. Yes! Bournemouth beat our press; Kluivert and Semenyo destroyed us. Fulham away was plain awful by our team in every area. Some of the other losses were more about how poorly we pressed, how we lacked any intensity and some of our key players not turning in a professional performance. I still would love for us to add some more technical flair but I'd rather see that in the central areas of the pitch where I think we've always lacked that attacking mid style player. buzza
Pedro, elanga and scalvini would elevate US to "dark horse" level, where a injury free and little bit of luck season would see us Up there competing with the "Big three" Edited 4 hours ago by buzza

Think that’s the idea, having both with Pedro unlocking low block and Gordon/Isak/Elanga fluidly tearing defences all over the place. Hope we do get both. Dr Jinx
I don’t think we sign both Elanga and JP.. it’s one player for that right side. Osula will be trusted to be Isak’s cover. If we can keep Joelinton, Bruno and Tonali fit all season we should dominate most teams in the middle, however, it may not be a bad idea to freshen things up with the other midfielders. Willock and Longstaff could do with a fresh start maybe. I think we need an all out defensive midfielder who can come on and close out games, someone with pace that won’t let teams run right at us etc, give some added protection to the back line. An upgrade at CB is long overdue. Although you can’t fault Burn or Schär, it’s just the pace bit that raises concerns. A goalkeeper who can distribute and not just limply kick the ball straight to the other team will transform us more than any other player we’ll sign imho. Agreed we wouldn't be able to offer the minutes pedro would want if Isak remained fit. Backup striker at times but surely second striker/no. 10 we haven't had, replacement to that idea of throwing willock on hoping he does something in games, fluid attack where Isak does his drift all over thing and pedro goes up top. Links to versatile forwards sounds like we are wanting to have cover in more than one area while increasing the backup striker option with hopefully Wilsons departure. andycap
Kyle walker Peters would be a great addition to our squad if tino is out with an injury or suspension he is a nearly a like for like replacement as he's quite quick and can play both fullback positions well.
