Thought he was alright today, some nice touches and not many mistakes.

How many times did he beat his man? How many dangerous balls did he put into the box? How many chances created? How many shots did he have on goal? They're all metrics we should be using for how well a winger has played.

Honestly think the bar that some people set to say he's had an alright game is ridiculously low.

Totally agree. Some people on here are so desperate to see him succeed here, they’re continuously lowering the bar of acceptability to accommodate it.

Third highest signing of all time for us.

Contributed the sum total of fuck all and hasn’t shown anything to indicate there is any cerebral activity going on upstairs.

Be interested to know at what point those who continue to lower their expectations of him just accept he’s not good enough…

Ok isn't good enough - I'm hoping we see a different player next season.  When you compare the goal threat of Barnes to his - it's none existent.

That’s not an acceptable bar for a £55m signing after nearly 8 months here.

He’s fucking rotten man. Utter dogshit.

I do feel a bit sorry for him as we don't play to what should be his strengths very much, if at all (releasing him into space) but the absence of basics sometimes is astounding.

Do think we've dropped a massive bollock with him and Wissa, £100m+ on players who thrived in specific systems isn't looking too clever right now

I can't remember a single time he's beaten a man with his pace since he joined

From memory (and I could be wrong) but he did it twice in the first 20 mins at home to Barcelona.

It sounds harsh, but I fear it will ultimately be proven true.

We could have signed 5 decent players for that.

I don't think it's good enough either but plenty of our other players are just OK as well.

Nobody plays the ball into space for him or any of our front players to run on to.

He never times his runs to get the ball in space

Most alarming thing today for me. Was that he didn’t look anywhere near as fast as usual. He’s been crap, but the pace has still been there.

Got done for speed by Gueye and Mykolenko FFS.

Not going to keep on. As it’s getting boring and we all know it. But pound for pound. He is looking like one of the worst signings we’ve ever made. In the Prem era, anyway.

£55m and he barely looks worth £5m.
