None of this "ok by his standards", tonight. He was brilliant. Very very good

Yes. Cracking game.

Desperate for him to get a goal.

Aye, nowt wrong with that at all. The most recent criticism has been really over the top, but it goes without saying that he has to keep it up. His close control was a lot better tonight and I liked the way he moved centrally, with and without the ball.

Two absolutely dire crosses in the first half mind.

Yes, I really hope this was a conscious thing they've been working on.

Defenders are standing off him and showing him inside so much. Thought he did really well coming inside and combining well with other players.

The final third stuff will come. Just needs to continue to improve using the ball and getting into good positions like he did.

Can't cross for shit but increasingly willing to take his man on. Think I'm gonna write this season off as a nightmare and see what he offers next season.

Hasn’t been over the top at all. He’s contributed fuck all in 8 months having had £55m spaffed on him. It’s only ‘over the top’ if you’re super sensitive to him being criticised for some bizarre reason.

And for all the compliments he’s received tonight it’s another game with no assists, no goal and some fucking woeful technical output again in the form of his crossing...

Ran about a bit and won some headers though so there is that for the happy clappers to cling on to [emoji38].

Does a player have to have a goal or assist to receive compliments?

To his credit, he never hides, he’s always wanting the ball.

Yeah. Even when he has a few gaffes he has still seemed a threat as he's always in and around the action going forward.

Because of this he has seemed to be more of a danger than Barnes recently, who has somehow disappeared. Not really involved enough at all or causing the opposition problems.

Not bad for someone who can't trap a bag of cement. Those two crosses were horseshit but then I don't think that's his game. Just wish after one of those centrsl runs in the second half he laid it off to one of the runners. Needs to be brave, but this is definitely continued improvement.

He put many of his crosses on Chris Wood's head at Forest, whilst taking their set pieces also. He'll get enough of those right. When he has this season the players through the middle have mostly failed to make the most of them.

Just needs to keep improving his general play which was good yesterday, and keep stretching the opposition with his runs in behind and exploiting that space as that is such a useful outlet and gets the opposition turned around.

Think he's worth persisting with for another season if another RW is signed. You'd think someone like Coventry or Boro would fancy Jacob Murphy for £12-15m to open up that position for a new signing.
