I thought he looked a bit more upbeat today and spurned a few opportunities but also got into some really good positions, including for their red card. He could have scored a couple had he dealt better with a pass from Gordon and had Wissa managed to find him late on.

Wissa did him dirty when he was in clear on goal. Hopefully he gets a goal soon, build up his confidence.

Bit better but as depressing as it is to say he's absolutely miles behind Murphy and should be benched for the next 2 games at least.

I dunno mate, they’re equally frustrating if you ask me.

Murphy has the numbers to back himself up. I'd rather him than Elanga any day.

Elanga had plenty of offensive numbers with Forest, but I think his ceiling is higher than Murphy and I generally love Murph.

He hasn't shown anything like that for us though so shouldn't start in these next 2 massive games. As things stand right now Murphy is miles clear of Elanga.

The less touches the better with this kid. Some decent deliveries when he got it out quickly

The 2-3 times he got it out his feet and pinged in a cross the delivery was excellent.

When he has time to engage his brain it all seems to fall apart

I’d go with Murph too, especially if Wissa gets a start midweek.

Elanga wasn’t best pleased with him at full time, understandably. Fortuitous to be honest it didn’t cost us.

The lad has zero aggression in him. Always on his heels too

I've been thinking that, but I'm leaning more towards it being a confidence issue. He seems hesitant and likely overthinking everything, even before he took that curling effort at the Gallowgate, he seemed to spend an age sorting his feet out and it looked a bit awkward.

At some point, the chances are he will start to play more intuitively and fluently, at which point I feel we will see a more assertive and decisive player.

Hes definitely thinking too much, and you can see sometimes he’s not sure where he should be stood, when he should run. Hes clearly being asked to play differently to what he was used to at forest and it’s taking a lot of time for him to adjust. His first touch is a bit of a worry but I think he’ll end up alright.
