I'm usually trying to squeeze out a pre-match' nervy turd fully in the knowledge that, at 7.59 at the sports centre, I'll have to go again. Also, about 7.30, I'll be double knotting my Adidas so they done come undone during the game.
Mountain
19 hours ago, trx345 said: Even in a bad season, you always should have been a team challenging for the Champions League. Man United have spent over a decade spending fortunes on players that have next to zero impact on improving the side's fortunes. You signed Di Maria. He'd just won a CL, and one of world's hottest players for sale - no impact. Same for Sancho, one of England's hottest talents, and probably biggest forward talents you could buy. You spent £80M? For whatever reasons, he went to Man U and his career has tanked, and not improved Man United's cause zero bit. Why is Man City get recruitment right, even Chelsea if you expand it to last 10 years - or abroad PSG, Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, Bayern even Juve, but Man U get it so, so wrong. You've also not "missed once." You've spent £260m in the summer (more than us) and the only one who looks worth it so far is Thiaw. Difference is you ALWAYS miss and yet somehow will be able to spunk another £100m on Eliot Anderson who we were forced to sell for PSR. That's the difference. De Ligt, a defender, is on 200k a week. That seems an awful lot of money for a team that finished 15th. Man U's greatest asset is PSR. Throw enough shit at the wall, i.e £200m every summer while making massive losses on last year's incomings, and eventually it will stick.
Sibierski
Man Utd are like English economy. Theres so much attached to it, they can rack up all the debts they want, keep spending, because there’s too many with money tied up who don’t want it to collapse. Instead of cutting cloth accordingly, it’ll be the little man (canteen ladies) chopped to enable them to spend £5m over a release clause so they can spread the payments. Rinse and repeat. Stop adding little bits on to try and reinforce your argument. 2) Until his injury De Ligt has arguably been our best player this season. Worth every penny we've paid for him. 3) When we signed him he had just turned 25, and had won trophies in three different countries and had captained Ajax at 18. Extremely experienced. 4) When we signed him, we had just qualified for Europe. So the "that seems a lot of money for a team that finished 15th" argument is entirely irrelevant. Friendly reminder that your wage bill is reported as £2.3m per week and ours is £3.1m per week with our two highest earners earning a combined 650k expected to leave in the summer. I'm going to enjoy the finance talks in a 6-12 months time.

Because I guarantee that won't be the case.

Wouldn’t be worth picking up on even for a second. You also don’t know it is ‘£195k pw’ because clubs don’t release players’ contracts nor their payslips - so not only is it pedantic, it’s no more accurate than stating £200k
