CallumG6
I think anyone able to decipher what trx is saying deserves some sort of medal or trophy. Spouting absolute fucking nonsense, across most threads.

Mountain
I'd start him on Sunday. It's the one game where you should start him. Away from the toxic vibes at home, against the worst team in the league. If he's poor again then at least someone better can come on full of energy. (this is all based on the premise that Wolves won't play well)
Pilko
Can't agree with the clamour to start him unfortunately. I'd rather we got into a decent lead by playing our more effective wingers and introduced him as a sub again.

Logically you are correct, but if you have reservations about starting your new 55 million winger against the worst team in the league, then we're in a spot of bother with poor Anthony. I'd give him a chance on Sunday.
The College Dropout
Yes we are in a spot of bother with Anthony so he needs to ride the bench.

gazza ladra
Good opportunity to start him and get him playing time at Wolves. Won't hear the groans at every bad touch or misplaced pass. Gives others a bit longer to recover. Needs opportunity to play into form. Right now, away from home, is the right time.

In the one game that could change things for him with the lowest risk? You may be right, I'd just spin the wheel.
Stottie
Remember folks, it's one thing to say others should start ahead of Elanga due to poor form and another to write him off completely. Woltemade plus two pacy wingers in Gordon and Elanga should work much better than it has. Maybe its a combination of poor form, injury woes at full back, and the system being new to us. Woltemade is a very different player to Isak.

Displayname
Barnes and Gordon can't start every game. Perfect oppurtunity to start him against Wolves and rest Gordon for CL where he shines.

With the away end being all down one side. He might get even more abuse than he does at home games

The Prophet
Happy to start him on Sunday. We're away from home which might ease the pressure and his handful of alright performances have come from being in the starting eleven. Plus, if he starts poorly it gives the lads an opportunity to completely crush his confidence so he becomes the flop that so many crave. Win-win. Sibierski
If he can’t start when Murphy is out against the bottom of league, I’m not sure how that can help his confidence anymore than fans grumbling when he takes an awful touch.

Yep, if Gordon's playing then there's not way he should be starting ahead of Barnes on the right for me.
MagSA
It's a tricky one, we need to rest some players and give Elanga game time in an environment that can contribute to him getting some confidence back. Don't think Howe goes with both options so it might be full strength everywhere with Elanga RW, Or Gordon and Barnes on the wing and one of the defenders gets a rest
Gawalls
Barnes is on fire at the moment and needs to be in the pitch as far as I'm concerned, we're know he won't be in the left
Yorkie
I think he's got to start either this or PSV. With Murphy knackered we can't just keep flogging Gordon and Barnes until they break.
Cf
I feel like he needs to play some away games to try and get his confidence up outside of SJP. Hardly a great situation to be in. Obviously as with any of our players I'd really like to see him turn this around and hope this is just a period of very bad form and he's better than this. Unfortunately though I just don't see it. Checko
Seems a very nice lad, hardworking, great athlete, two-footed. Forest fans say he was by far their best set piece taker which suggests he has good technique striking a ball. Trouble is, now the crowd have decided he's rubbish, every little mistake gets criticised triple, which compounds the issue with a guy short of form and confidence. Take the Spurs cup game, he was absolutely fine that game but because he gave the ball away once with a sloppy pass (which pretty much every player does at some point in a game) some poeple were slating his whole performance. Remember Murphy vs Leicester last year - he'd been getting so must shit from the crowd he had a kind of angry reaction to scoring. Then he went on a tear. Just gotta hope Elanga has his Leicester moment soon before he's fully Longstaffed. Edited January 17 by Checko

The College Dropout
It’s the premier league away from home. We play our strongest team whatever Howe thinks that is.
