Have they? Apart from Gordon individual brilliance, we've done fuck all with the ball and gifted them the better chances by losing it.

They were set up tactically poorly for the first 30 minutes, we didn’t capitalise.

Agent Longstaff and Burn again

Longstaff gives it away and Burn lets it go through his legs for the cross

That's all Longstaff & Howe, Burns would never have been in that position if Longstaff had basic ball retention

Yeh Longstaff is having an awful game. Maybe this is the off-ramp for Eddie to drop him, he’s killing so many moves

last season it was injuries and “who else will we play” this season there’s no excuse. He shouldn’t even have started this match

It’s not as if it’s the first time longstaff has done that - he offers more to the game when he goes hiding.  I’d rather we drop him and trust Miley more to be honest. Some players are just bulletproof in Howes eyes yet some others have to work so much harder for the same opportunities

There’s a whole fucking team to defend behind him who got bypassed too easily. You can never blame someone losing the ball 80 years from your own goal for conceding

Majority of them all wrong-footed by Longstaff losing the ball in a stupid place mind.

Burn also awful for the goal really.

Bruno is great, but we need to move away from him being the deep guy. Just not quick enough to recover in those situations. Something we need to address next season, unless we actually get some ball playing CMs to control the game.

Play breaks down through Longstaff on that right side.

Cheap goal on the counter.

I'm so sick of that set of players on that side, honestly.

Just not good enough.

Barnes not starting is arguably harder to defend. At least with Tonali he's played two games for Italy after a lengthy competitive football absence.

Barnes has had two weeks off and looked quality last time.

Jacob is a great lad around the club though, that's the main thing.
