Shadow Puppets
I thought we were outstanding from start to finish today, barring 10 mins after City’s goal where we lost composure. Great performance all round.
Pablo123
Much better today. Had a feeling we'd have a positive reaction after Fulham, so I guess I'll take a little bit of credit for that. Hopefully we'll build on it and win every remaining game.
toontownman
We finally showed up this season today. Comparative and switched on all game. Still missing a bit of creative magic in the final third. Obviously no Isak doesn't help. Â Tonali was magic. All the lads put in a fantastic shift and hopefully the goal is the turning point for Gordon. Â Great result and performance. Â 100%, could have won, might have lost but the intensity and guts were back. Need to play like this against all teams really.
Disco
1 minute ago, Kid Icarus said: Did it look more like the old us? C’est vrai, pressed a lot better but not full blast all the time. Picked the moments largely correctly. Moved the ball way better too.
Shak
Just now, Kid Icarus said: Did it look more like the old us? Â Aye, we were much more high energy and had a go at City throughout. Â Had the better of it first half until they scored in terms of taking the game to the opposition and we pressed them in their own half really well. Stifler
9 minutes ago, Kid Icarus said: Did it look more like the old us? Very much so, in the first half in particular we pressed them high up the pitch, they got a goal against the run of play, and out of nothing. That’s the difference between a team like them and us though, they have that ability.  It was one of those games where if they had won, you couldn’t knock us, and would accept that they just have that quality that we don’t have. If we won, Man City couldn’t have had many complaints, and a draw is probably the right result.  If we play like we did today against the rest of the league, we’ll start bouncing teams, and finish high up the league. TRon
1 hour ago, Erikse said:  Against City I never expect anything from the refs or VAR. When Joelinton went down without the refs intervention, I just knew it wouldn't be given, just because it's Man City. Against a bottom half side I would have hope, and no doubt they would spend atleast a minute looking at it. And I agree, I was really surprise when we were given the first pen.     They were both pens tbh. Not complaining because it was probably a fair result in the end, but we would have been given that second one if we hadn't already been given one to put us level. Superior Acuña
Id say we had less fret than the old us, but think that’s fair given we had no centre forward and one of our most threatening wide players was played out of position. Great to see us come from behind, when they scored I thought that was it. Thought Joelinton was class, the radgie. Could’ve nicked it if we had more attacking quality.  Love that we’re making SJP a real fortress again, as it should be Edited September 28 by Superior Acuña
GeordieToon
Gordon earned his wages today along with Pope and Tonali in the second half. Groundhog63
Got back from the match Took the hound out Watched the Makems get beat  Decent, bordering on great, from us today. Some very good performances. Gordon, Joelinton (cunt was everywhere, rattling everyone), Murphy (barring his final delivery), Burn, Hall, Tripps  Most notable, for me, was coming from behind against these. They might not be firing on all cylinders yet but they've got some spirit  Bonus, our hosts let us bring home the NUFC cheese wheel

samptime29
Big positive was our commitment. 1-0 down is a tough place against City. We battled, we worked hard and got a deserved point.
