This has been a shambles. We have no clue how to kill games off with possession.

A shambles??... the opposition didn't have a single shot all game.

Saw it from 75 mins or so, typically dreary low tempo affair against a team that (understandably) came to hang on as long as possible before rolling the dice. Meh, nowt to be gleaned, onwards to Chelsea.

Not one for the ages that, but we're through and that's the main thing. Low key and disjointed but hey.

If I ever have to watch Almiron play 90 minutes again it'll be too soon.

Much better second half with Bruno finally opening up some plays, and Tino switching back to the right. Shows how tame our secondary players are though. Looked clueless at times when presented with a low block.

Anybody around at the time get Oldham 96 vibes from that?

How could you not really?

Good result against a Manchester club at the weekend, exepct a nice fluid hefty win of a showing against weaker opponents in the league cup midweek, few changes and a complete damp squib of an outing, penalty, 1-0 win.

Doesn't have to mean anything but still a come down.

Positives: Into next round, no injuries, Osula looked up to speed and can play a part in league games.

Negatives: Poor yet again from word go with the ball. Nothing really created from open play. Been more reflective of the whole season rather than the Man City game.
