They are.

If we have a set piece coach, they need sacking. If we don’t, we need to be asking why not.

Yep - can't remember last time we scored from a set play

How we are still level is a bit of a mystery, but they look like they leave plenty of space at the back so we can score goals in this game. But looks like they'll probably get at couple more the way we are set up.

Bit of a mixed bag; we haven't dealt with the combination of one of either Jackson or Palmer receiving the ball deep and building the play - they've forced a half chance out of that situation every time. Thankfully we've defended pretty well other than that.

Lovely move for our goal and you sense we'll get another chance. Feels like we'll need to score again to get anything out of the game.

Fun watch for the neutral.

Gut wrencher for fans of defending.

Some of the forward play and link up has been better for us. Our goal was beautiful. Same general problems though and yikes has the defense and lack of cover been woeful.

We need a better defensive plan for the second half. At least we grew into the game and levelled it.

Actually a really good performance overall I thought.

Tino has been class. The teamwork and play for the goal was fantastic. Really good vision by everyone.

The goal we conceded was infuriating. Just pure laziness by Schar to dive in rather than Marshall him out wide. Bit of a tendency of the whole team to slide on your arse for a tackle you can't make rather than defend.

Our CB pairing has to be amongst the most unathletic in the league.

Glad Isak got a goal, looks a bit sharper. Could get something out of this with a similar performance second half. Need fewer mental mistakes primarily.

I think Tino’s stunk the place out, our goal aside.

He’s been fine and hard to blame him for the goal either, it’s just brilliance from Palmer. Tino takes one step to cut the likelier pass to Neto and Palmer launches it behind him inch-perfectly.

Schar is trying to foul him and take the yellow. He’s clearly never catching Neto in a foot race.

What? 😂

Schar more at blame for the goal imo as that pass was world class from Palmer.

Neto hasn't properly done him for pace yet either.

For all his other faults, he's the one player who has the pace to keep up with the Chelsea forwards.

Weird half, feel like we're lucky to be level, defensively we've been poor, especially in the first 25 minutes, there are gaps all over the pitch which Palner has been able to drift in, but at the same time we've also done some good last ditch defending. Offensively we've actually caused them a few problem, whenever we've been able to sting two passes together that is. Would be tempted to bring Kelly on for Joelinton and go 3-4-3.

Couple of other points:

  • The referee has been utter cack for both sides, just letting players get fouled all over the shop.
  • Tino is going to be a world class wing back one day, but feels like he'll be a average to decent fullback.
  • That goal for Isak could be huge for our season.
  • Hall has been our best player, he's really starting to sting a run of form together.
  • Miggy feels like a weird sort of safety blanket, I can't explain it, but I feel like we're better when he's on the pitch.
