Great win, dominated possession and then played them at their own game to win. That's how we need to be playing away every time. Didn't fully put pressure and had the bodies in midfield, must have learnt a bit

The solution to every problem is Joelinton.

Absolute masterclass. Man of the match.

Still a colossus for Eddie Howe's Newcastle. Fuck, how we missed him last year.

Too good in the end, Forest had nothing other than the counter attack, and a free goal from a poor foul to concede in the first place.

We annihilated them in that second half, Joelinton was instrumental, he actually makes the whole side he plays on improve, as the left was stronger in the first half, but the right side was solid in the second, actually improved Livramentos game with his protection.

Class

Shouldn't be an understated what a brilliant win AND performance that was against such a good side.

Dominated the whole match, except when we chose not to - and came back from a goal down, conceded against the run of play. All on the road too.

If this is the vision Howe is reaching for, I'm all for it. :howe:

We played quite a few balls into their box which I'd describe as low probability given we don't have an old-style centre forward in the box, but I thought it made us more dangerous in a way.

You can see why Forest are so effective. Really, really good on set pieces. Attacking and defending. (Which makes it more hilarious we scored from one!). That allows them to be overly-physical in the defensive third, and flop in the attacking third.

Great performances across the board. Fun to watch again! (Even when a goal down).
