Lush Vlad Posted Saturday at 17:31 Share Posted Saturday at 17:31 (edited) You’d imagine that Botman wouldn’t play two games so close together after just returning? Kelly in for Schar/Botman and Longstaff in for Bruno would be my guess. Tough game. Need to be on it for more like 90 minutes and not just half hour spells. Just a one goal deficit or even better, nick a draw back to take it to SJP. Then I’d be happy enough with that. STM Posted Saturday at 17:55 Share Posted Saturday at 17:55 Bruno being suspended is actually helpful. The same 11 will get over run by Arsenal, because they were dead on their feet at the end of today's game. We really need to be smart about which players have energy in the tank. For example, perhaps a strong 30 minutes in the second half from Gordon is better than starting him? Tonali has less mileage this year than our other midfielders and Tino didn't start against Man Utd, these are the considerations we need to make. It's not even about protecting players, it's about having energy. Id go: Dubravka Tino Botman Burn Hall Tonali Longstaff Willock Joelinton Barnes Isak In all honesty, I'd like us to play 541 and completely shithouse them. Get Kelly in there too and see if we can keep the score down, perhaps nick a goal late on. We won't, and I entirely understand why Howe won't. I just feel if we go toe to toe with them at the Emirates, we will quickly run out of steam.. and 1 can become 4 very quickly.

SiLvOR Posted Saturday at 18:13 Share Posted Saturday at 18:13 What I'd give to fuck Arteta over across 2 legs. Two controversial as fuck 1-0s would be delightful

I think the main worry is managing players load this Tuesday and avoiding injuries. If we can stay in the tie and take it back to st James level or 1-0 down I think we’ll turn them over at home. Tough match tho.

A midfield of Willock - Longstaff - Miley, would be lacking that pass needed against a team that will have 11 men behind the ball.

Miley has that pass in his locker and very unlikely Longstaff doesn’t play but agreed
Sibierski Posted Saturday at 18:32 Share Posted Saturday at 18:32 I’d ring the changes because quite a few looked leggy, which is understandable after three big games where you have to be at 100% to get the wins. I’d like to see: Dub: Trip, Schar, Burn, Hall: Willock, Tonali, Miley: Barnes, Isak, Almiron Feels going ‘full strength’ won’t actually help us because of the tiredness. As tiredness leads to silly mistakes. Rather freshen it up, even if it appears drop in quality, dog it out and have Bruno / Tino / Gordon / Murphy ready to come off bench for some fresh quality for final 30. Arsenal will rest some stars and do that too IMO.

wormy Posted Saturday at 18:34 Share Posted Saturday at 18:34 (edited) When it comes to this lot I think I'd be more satisfied with the shithousiest of 1-0 wins than an absolute drubbing tbh. Let the hypocritical tears flow while they all somehow manage to cry about dark arts. Edited Saturday at 18:34 by wormy

Sean Posted Saturday at 18:34 Share Posted Saturday at 18:34 Gonna feel strange playing a game against top level opposition after the rif raff we've faced the last few games. Hopefully Lego head is as angry as Ange after the game.
