Hope Villa have a Christmas hangover while our lads are ready to go again!

I’m offshore for this working nights. I’ll be stuffed from our Christmas dinner at 01:00, in bed for 06:00. Alarm set for 14:30. Can’t wait!

Find it mad the only two times Villa have beaten us at SJP since 1989 was the Shearer red card game and the Bowyer/Dyer fight

Haven't beaten us when we've had 11 men since 1989

Oh dear. Hope Big Joe’s not still a bit pissed at having his face stamped on [emoji38]

What's our record with him? [emoji38]

Always struck me as a shite ref and was embarrassingly shown to be when he has reffed in international tournaments/champions league games.

Graham Scott also looks like someone who would struggle with any kind of technology let alone VAR.

He did the Forest game earlier in the season didn’t he? Their fans were right on his case because of previous stuff, but he seemed fine on the day.

Looking at the table, and the fact we're finally in the best form of our season, we could really do with winning this, it's looking like a huge fixture, could be the turning point to stay in contention for European spots. I always find us and Villa similar, of late they've had more success, but there's not much between us.

I'm working long days today, xmas day and boxing day. Gutted, but it's double pay at least. Off for four days after that though, so a loss to Villa would really ruin my week.

Feel like this game could be anything. They play a high line, which suits us, but they're also good at moving it forward through the middle of the pitch, which is where we can get caught out. They've just beaten Man City and we've had three good performances, so both teams will be full of confidence.

Will be interesting to see how our updated set-up performs against one of the better teams.
