I’m not expecting a win at all but ironically we’re almost more likely to win now given we’re totally up against it. We always do better as under dogs but it’s a very long shot. You can’t lose the key players we’re losing vs a team like Liverpool.

In the grand scheme of things Botman doesn’t make a huge difference, we’ve not had him all season. 
 

Hall is the biggest loss from the 3 but Tino has shown he can cover there and Barnes is going to have to now step up big time. 
 

Eddie will have a plan, whatever happens we’ll give it our all.

They really aren't anything special and I have said it before they are going to be the weakest league winners since Leicester won it. I genuinely believe us at full strength would have given them a game as well, we might have lost but it would have been close and we would have turned up and caused them problems. Its hard to see that happening now though as that defence we will be putting out is old slow and past its best, they are just going to slice through it with ease.

I don't really have any expectations from this now, so fairly relaxed about it. Don't think we have much chance, but never thought our chances were great even before the injuries. Would like to see us just play a carefree game and try to execute whatever the gameplan is without worrying about winning or losing.

Liverpool aren't that great but they keep finding a way to win. Even last night, it's alright saying well they were battered, should have been 4 nil etc etc, it wasn't and they won. Again. So many times this season they've not looked that great and have ended up winning.

 

Even at our very best, full strength, chances are they'd still find a way to win, but now, with our injuries and another morale boosting win for them last night, it's nigh on impossible.

The more I think about it, in the event Isak is fit, we're going into the game with over £300 million worth of midfield/front line. Gordon is a miss but Barnes is no mug and can produce something special. Tonali, Bruno and Big Joe were being called the best 3 in the league a couple of months ago. 

 

Just need them to be aggressive as fuck on the day and try and stay solid.

It's a win it in 90 final for me. Can't see how we win it in ET or even survive to get to Pens if it gets there.

 

Liverpool will likely have Jones, Nunez, Gakpo, Elliot all as attacking options to attack our old defence.

Liverpool did defend very well last night in fairness but I also think for all their posession and longrange shots PSG lacked a focal point and didn't move the ball quick enough to carve out clear cut chances.

 

It will be a completely different game at Wembley but I'd be very surprised if they didn't beat us by a few clear goals given the states of the squads and injury lists.

Not that I'm comparing our attacking ability with PSG's.  But I'm not sure they did.  They should really have been a goal down and a man down after less than half an hour.  They relied on some outstanding saves from Alisson, the best performance of his career in his words.  Along with some wasteful finishing and badly placed cutbacks.

 

It has no bearing on our game at all.  But if they lost 3 or 4 nil last night.  I don't think they could have had many complaints.

We win the midfield battle, hands down, but Liverpool have a knack for such a fast kick and rush game that we will be bypassed when we lose possession. We need to control their supply lines and deal with the ball over the top, do that with aggression and we stand a chance.

This, their bench will be 100x more effective than ours, either our starting line up does the job in 90 or their fresh legs finish the game off as a contest.

Since they use their defenders to link up with their midfield, we don't really win that battle either IMO. Otherwise we'd dominate possession, and I don't remember the last time we did that against them. We win it on paper only.
