My bipolar obsession with NUFC - win ecstatic, lose mope like a cowed dog - will finally be expunged if we were to win this. I am sure there are many other fans who suffer in the same way. This is an opportunity to remove the albatross from our necks, the monkey from our backs and the mote from our eyes (I know).  IMHO - A victory here WILL set NUFC as a force for years and it will give all of us the freedom to support without the crushing anxiety - something serial winners do not understand. HWTL.

I can barely imagine life as a fan after we actually win something. A massive part of our identity will have been callously ripped away in an instant.

It's a mental thought isn't it. Like I cannot imagine the thought of us having won something. It feels like one of those things where everyone would be like "Ah God help us if we win it, I'll be partying for a whole week" bur I'm not sure in reality it would. We'd have to come home for one. We'd have work. We'd be literally so dumbfounded that we finally broke this curse  I literally think it will initially make folk feel a bit disorientated (once the celebrations die down  )

I'd expect my life to be turned upside down if we won a trophy. I got to 40 (I'm plenty older now) and reluctantly accepted that I'd never see us win anything. Fatalistic perhaps.

I'm now of the mind we'll win something before I croak. And in doing so, I'll start to believe in ghosts, life on Mars, Nessie, Bigfoot and drinking mead with centaurs in the Bigg Market

I'm not going to lie, I think the "we'll want it more" narrative it's a bit of a fallacy, it's a cup final at the end of the day, and any player, manager, staff member or fan is going to be all in on the day to win it.

Obviously but it won't bother Liverpool fans that much in 12 months time of they won it whereas we'd be talking about it in 55 years when the media are saying we aren't a big club as we haven't won anything for 55 years

I've no chance of a ticket at all.

However if some kind Newcastle fan wants to sell me a ticket I can officially offer £1 million for a ticket, this is because of a lotto win of £7.5 million.

PM me if you'd like that £1 million and I'll will get back in touch as soon as I win it :celb:

Invest that into getting someone to do a Tonya Harding on Salah

Would you rather… Newcastle became a consistent FA Cup/League Cup winner if it meant we never won the Premier League?

Well what’s the other option?

Don't accept the premise to be honest. I'd be delighted to win the cups a lot and understand the league is a while away but very good teams tend to win cups and leagues not often over the course of years only one or other.

I guess rather was the wrong word. Would you be happy with the above scenario?

No, because the league would be essentially pointless forever.

I think winning the league will take a long while, it will be a long while before i am pissed that we arent winning it. Next big step will be being reliably in champions league places, and we're not there yet. Winning some cups on way will be fine for me. If we keep getting to finals and not winning will be issue i guess but not going to complain for a while.

Winning anything would be amazing, however just one isn’t enough! If, if, if they win it I’ll want them to win the FA Cup in May too just as much.

Judging by other fans, winning cups never gets boring

Winning isn't everything, but losing is nothing

I have never comprehended nufc winning anything.

As a kid I dreamt of seeing us in a final (in person) and that felt like the peak of what we would ever do, pretty sad tbh.

But I've seen us at Wembley in a cup final now and honestly not too stressed about it all. Last time was so emotionally charged it felt sapping and all consuming.

Now it just feels about doing the business, and I believe we can on our day against anyone, even if it is a tall order against this LFC.
