Looking at the Premier League website, this is what they currently have. Both London derbies TBC.

Whose stupid idea was it to have 2 London derbies on the same weekend as the cup final?!

My guess is the police want to avoid Tottenham fans and Arsenal fans meeting on the Victoria and Piccadilly lines, and Fulham and Chelsea fans meeting in Fulham in large numbers, so want an early 12pm KO for Arsenal and that’s what is holding those games up

Sky will want the final starting 4pm latest so it doesn’t run into their 7pm KO

Surely they have the time of the cup final pencilled in at the start of the season and work around it. Cannot see it being 8pm for the reason that it’s impossible to get back Tyneside or Merseyside by train post match, and despite both sets of fans being passionate and fairly decent, they won’t them mixing that late full of all sorts.

@SteVis right there would be uproar but I think it’s only fair to reward recent loyalty . I say this as someone who has over 400 but due to family commitments can’t go every away like I used to when I was younger.

id make them drop off after x years (maybe 5). Man U do this iirc

i went home and away when we were shit..

crappy mid week games, the lot.

then i started taking my kids with me.

dont want my points taken off for anyone.

plenty i know wanting tickets now when they hadnt been interested for years.

many were.

many werent.

Some undoubtedly were but not that many. I respect those who did mind they’ve paid some price but most of the new demand is due to a (*shudders*) “better quality product” fro people who yih couldn’t have given a ticket to under JFk, McLaren, souness etc

I probably agree with this assessment, it’s just that here probably isn’t the best place to make it, given a large portion of the posters on here who are now in this situation, probably were the genuine boycotters.

I’d hope they realise you’re referring to the wider fanbase though.

yeah I know there’s a lot of genuine lads on here and a few not on here who I know personally and respect their sacrifice. But I don’t believe either group amounts to a significant amount of people in total. Lots stopped going under Ashley just because the football was shite rather than any grander ambition at removing him.

Any truth in the rumour that this is kicking off at 8pm since there are already two London derbies scheduled for that day?

I don’t they’ll do that after the euros fiasco

Does anyone have an idea on whether the non transferable ticket policy for the final  is enforced?

In theory it is but I wouldn't expect many/any ID checks.

There seemed to be very little to no ID checks going on last time.

Have the final kick off at 1pm. And move those two London derbies back to 8pm. Fuck them over rather than us for a change.

I'd rather it kicked off at 8pm than 1 tbh

My mate used my dads (senior) ticket for the final in 2023.  He was bricking it but, as it turns out the only thing that security was interested in was to take any drinks or food from you that you may have been carrying in.  I took a bottle of water and they said, you don't need to bring that in, it is available inside (at 10X the price).

Turnstile was automated and had no one on it.

No checks no nowt last time round once through either.   Had a few perimeter searches for bags/pat downs but nowt ticket related, and then some security scanner gates once up the shitty little escalator and some personnel there - again no ticket checked.

Obviously can't vouch this time round, but that was my experience.
