Should have brought someone on already imo. Not even sure everyone on the pitch knows how unacceptable this performance have been and still a couple just sauntering around invisible.

So poor.

One of those games where a first half sub is needed. Deschamps did it in the WC final and Amorim did it against us. I rate that in a manager imo. This isn’t working, we are getting mauled and embarrassed - make a change.

We set the precedent within 30 seconds when we retreated into our own half and stayed there until 2-0 down when we passed the ball forwards a few times.

It's been abject, given City a nice little kick start to their season, nice little reminder of how far we are away from teams like this.

Don't think it is Eddie setting them up wrong, but he should have had Livra in the defence.

Their pace and slick passing has got them three easy goals.

Our indifference, lack of intensity and glaring mistakes from our full backs have lost us this game...

Not watching, but sounds like a potent combination of poor tactics and a few individuals shitting the bed?

Sadly it’s as bad as what you’re reading on here. It’s not even about mistakes, we just look like we’re not trying.

Considering what's at stake in this game you'd have expected a lot more energy and intensity - to a man we've been poor

I know mate, as far from tight top half of the table 6 pointer you can get.

Passive and poor from minute 1, we didn’t impose ourselves on the game and got finished quickly.

Our slow backline has been killed by pace.

The majority of our fan base are away with the faries when it comes to what our real status is.

Everyone seems to think we're a top four/ five side, yes we'll float about there all season fluctuating positions, the reality is we're still top eight, we still have a fair few weak players that over acheive most games, but when it comes to crucial moments they're none existent.

We need a really good summer to make this side competitive in a top four.

That’s Eddie setting us up wrong.

Football options or his ability?

I think he’s niave far too often.

He seems to have an idea of how a game will go and won’t change the plan once it’s set. We end up not being able to up the tempo, and not giving ourselves a chance to turn things around.

He had a plan for this game, and 3-0 at half time, it won’t change in the 2nd half.

We likely have a plan already in place for the cup final, and that won’t change between now and then, even if Liverpools first 11 suddenly became unavailable.

I also think his teams concede far too many goals, and that’s not just us, it was the same at Bournemouth.

Looks like the players are totally unsure of what they’re meant to be doing. So they’re not really doing anything. Hard to believe it’s down to a lack of effort or the cup final already on their minds. I would hate for that to be the case.

The worst half I can remember from Howe for a long time. At least against Bournemouth recently. They were absolutely incredible with their gameplan and we didn’t adapt. We just haven’t done anything here apart from stand off and show them far too much respect. Looked beaten from the first minute.

No, not at all. It's lack of belief and intensity and a complete passivity from everyone on the pitch. There's no way Howe set them out to play like this.

Willock is another that is lauded for what he brings going forward, when he's on it.

Defensively against capable teams, he really doesn't have any presence whatsoever.

We would have been far better off going with the three at the back we used against Arsenal and leaving him on the bench.

Been just as bad as Longstaff this season. I honestly don't want to see him starting again. Play Miley or go 2 in the middle.

We should be able to not be 3-0 down against the worst Guardiola side ever.

That was embarrassing and not for the first time this season.

Passive in the press, soft as shite defending and a non existent attack. Only reason I will watch the restart is to see Eddie adjust players and system.

Entire broadcast before kick off was talking about how terrible we were here and we’ve simply stuck to the script.
