He's probably a B+ but can pull out a performance like the one on Sunday and look utterly majestic at times. He's probably the most complete CM I've ever seen in black and white, especially in that first 12 months but he's often drifted out of too many games and failed to impose himself quite often, you can't just look at his good games he's also been average too. Wonderful player to have around the place though, he's a little gem

Been waiting for this one.

A - technically up there with the very best and could improve any side in the world. His lack of pace is a major flaw but he makes up with it with his general positioning and what goes unheralded is his injury record, which is worth its weight as a player.

Hmm, very hard to grade. Think his ability is definitely a B but he hasn’t played anywhere near enough for us feel confident rating what his baseline is and his ceiling. I’m going to go for a C for now even though I think he’s a level above that and will prove it when he gets consistent game time

Miley has hardly played this season so difficult to give him anything other than a middle of the road C. Pleased he's bulked up and is starting to look like an intimidating unit (other than his angelic facial features). He's going to be very important to us in the coming years.

Difficult to say... D feels right at the moment, but I would've had Anderson as a D last season, and it's turned out that he's clearly a solid premier league starter having moved elsewhere. Our midfield is tough to break into.

Definitely has the potential to be a high B.

Solid C at the moment. Feel if he was giving a run of 20+ starts, he’d be a high B.

One of the key things for Howe moving forward is how to get him into the team as a main starter because he’s quality is high. Would be linked with £50m+ moves if he had the run of games.

There were times last season that he looked totally comfortable in the league, and times when he looked like what he was - a talented young player needing time and minutes being played through necessity.

This season it's even harder to judge due to lack of minutes, so I can completely get why people have him as a D - was thinking that way myself.

But I've landed on a C, as he's not someone I'm worried about when he does come in, or comes off the bench. So, in my mind a solid pl player right now, with the potential to develop and possibly go up a ranking.

C. He’s our fourth-best CM and could easily start for more than half the teams in the league without looking out of place, us included.
