Council are right killjoys if they’re showing reluctance like, it’s one day man. And a chance of the bars and restaurants having another lucrative day, god forbid they should do well.

Mate sent me this:

Parade is gonna start at 1pm along the great north road up to the town moor until 5pm then from 5pm - 9pm there’s gonna be a party at the moor with possibly bands and food but no Sam fender lol.. it’s going to be ticketed but it’s going to be free and it will be made public on Friday 🙏🖤🤍

Bodes well for the Council helping out the club with the new ground.

Town moor will be ticketed (free - no ballot) - if you don't have a ticket and it gets 'full' you'll be turned away.

What if you do have a ticket and it gets "full"? Presumably they know how many people it will take to be "full" and there will have to be some limit on tickets distributed?

Going to be class when 1000s of free tickets end up on eBay.

Really only interested in the parade part, shame it won’t be in the city but I guess I understand why.

Ticketed might just mean you have to register so they can monitor numbers. Probably free and unlimited tickets.

Will be a ticket cap I believe - first come first serve

The one thing I thought that wouldn't be ballsed up regarding a cup final was a parade afterwards.

Always imagined in my minds eye scenes like 74 the same tour bus to St James.

Can see arguments starting again if it’s ticketed by means of a ballot or something

Be mint if you can take your own booze (and kids) and it stays dry. Really hope it’s not limited numbers, will be harsh on whoever misses out then.

What's the best Train website to use?  Split my fare has a return priced at £99 with an arrival of 11.29 from Birmingham, I have a blue card if that helps

Don't see any reason we couldn't do both.

Have a ticketed "event" on the Moor, stage etc then a bus parade from somewhere to there for everyone else.

Doesn’t even need to be ticketed, just have an event there. The way they’re mostly done in my city is there is a parade for like 15-20 blocks and it ends in our “Civic Center Park” where there is a stage and music and presentations. All free. Although that’s been for just over a million people, not sure if that long of a parade is needed for only like 300k people.
