polkaDot Posted Friday at 12:19 Share Posted Friday at 12:19 Standing in a cow field listening to some gobshite dj playing shit tunes is not something I’ll be travelling up for.

Geordie Magpie Posted Friday at 12:25 Share Posted Friday at 12:25 (edited) Pretty sure the registering of interest will just be so club and council can know numbers attending so they can best prepare... Surely everyone who wants to go will be able to? Bit crap it seems there's going to be no bus parade and would also be bad craic if people who wanted to go couldn't because of not being able to get tickets. polkaDot Posted Friday at 12:25 Share Posted Friday at 12:25 The noise of the crowds in the city with the acoustics of the various buildings would have been something special. Cow shit on your shoes and DJ Softcock in your ears, not so much.
Wallsendmag Posted Friday at 12:26 Share Posted Friday at 12:26 This is just wrong on every level. It's something for the entire city and wider Region is this. Whether you're a season ticket holder, Mag+ member or whatever it shouldn't make any difference at all. Massive own goal.
Kid Icarus Posted Friday at 12:28 Share Posted Friday at 12:28 Even if they just used the size of land that's used for the hoppings, I'd take a rough guess that you'd safely get 150k people in there.
LiquidAK Posted Friday at 12:30 Share Posted Friday at 12:30 Selfishly my disappointment comes from the fact that I'd have to travel the length of the country and spend a decent wedge to get to this - it's not worth doing that if I'm going to be miles away from the stage and won't see shit. If there was a parade through the city where I'd have at least a moment where the bus goes by and I see the trophy and the players reasonably up close then that'd be different. Genuinely hope locals and anyone who does make it has a blast though, even if it's not the parade through the city we'd hoped for it should still be a hell of a party after all the years of waiting. timnufc22 Posted Friday at 12:33 Share Posted Friday at 12:33 The club need to pull the plug and do a bus parade, simple as.
Big Geordie Posted Friday at 12:33 Share Posted Friday at 12:33 Going to see a bus tour from Gosforth Park to Newcastle CC would have done for me. This event sounds pish to be honest, and it's also bound to hoy it down for the day. Bound to be folk kicking off about the ballot too.

TheInfiniteOdyssey Posted Friday at 12:38 Share Posted Friday at 12:38 Just sounds rubbish, why wouldn’t you have a massive parade around the city with all its iconic iconography. Ridiculous.

Possibly the fact that the city will be filled, and would be very hard to police. On the moor not so.
