Joelinton needs to avoid a booking here and he’s in the clear. Any chance he’s on the bench ?

That's right Big Joe. Get through this game and your licence to kill is reinstated!

Fatigue will get the better of us in one of the next two.

What we don't want is to go all out in the Palace game and get nothing from it, only to have zero left in the tank for Villa.

If we're properly going for it on Wednesday, full press, high intensity etc, then we really need to win it to set us up for the weekend.

I think that will be the plan! Win what’s in front of you 1 game at a time. The lads will dig deep. They can smell UCL. Gordon back available and hopefully Little Joe too will add some legs when required.

Doubt we will have major problems with fatigue just yet. Murphy, Trippier, Bruno, Joelinton and Isak have all been subbed off in our last two games. Barnes have fresh legs after not playing much this season and Tonali is a different beast. Wouldn’t see him do that sprint in the 94th minute if he had tired legs like. Tino got 2 weeks rest during the internationals.

Villa have only lost once at Villa Park this season, but they have drawn quite a few.

You could either look at it as that they only lost one or that they only won half their games, and we aren’t part of the bottom half ;)

I think we are a much better side when we have games come thick and fast like they are now. I feel like we bounce right through them.

Palace are turning up on the back of a hammering, against a side they know are going to be bang up for it. To add to it, they are just about in holiday mode, their focus is entirely on the cup.

Our away record is one of the best in the PL. I fancy us in both matches this week.

A bit mad how good our away record is considering how dreadful we looked away from home at the start of the season

A nasty opponent right now.

I'd not get upset at a draw - especially given Chelsea's dropped points - but obviously a win is within reach and they have a cup semi on the horizon.

Think they'll score at least once, mind.

We barely got a kick in the away fixture. Isak went off after twenty and we looked lost the whole game. 0.02 xG and needed Guehi to put it in for us. Nearly held on though for what would have been absolute daylight robbery.

Recent form and SJP probably mean this one will play out differently though. I certainly hope it does!
