Weathered that a bit but we’ve looked quite passive out of possession in the first half an hour there. 
 

Been second best overall still. If we improve we’re capable of sneaking a win. Would take 1-1 at FT, though.

Interesting half. Pretty even contest though we're definitely second best; not by a lot though. It was a jammy fucker of a goal that put them in front. 

 

We've got problems on our right hand side. Tripps, Murphy and Schär all ropey. Tonali obviously didn't cover himself in glory for the goal either. 

 

Could go either way, this.

Games there to win but we are probably second best. We should probably reconsider giving Watkins and Rogers as much time as they want to shoot when wide of goal. 

 

Not much new, we wet the bed a little with teams that run at us and press with pace. Lacked cutting edge on goal but we are well in this.

We are struggling with Villa’s forward runs and Watkins movement. Vila getting some joy with the long ball from Martinez too. Our final ball has been poor.

He's the worst until we get some athleticism in the backline. How we've got so high in the table when we struggle to play out from the back and are massively suspect to channel runs is beyond me. 

 

Just speaks to how much or a genius Eddie is I guess. 

 

The positive is our ceiling is very high as we have a few obvious weaknesses.

Good, competitive half. Enjoyable game. Annoying goal to concede but we've done really well to get level.

We've rolled with the punches and had our own moments but you have to be happy with the scoreline tbh. They've had bigger opportunities and won the tactical battle in the first half. Will be interesting to see what changes we make because we did get better from about 30 minutes.

They started crazy, thought we'd be out of sight after a few shots hit the post, Watkins showing us up a bit, gradually though we came into it, were physically imposing ourselves on them.

 

Tindall will pull something out of the bag and run down the touchline doing the Shhhhhh mark my words.

Refs been shit, but we've been worse. Need to lift massively in the 2nd half, or we'll lose. The whole RHS has been terrible so far.

I'd be looking at Murphy for Gordon soon. Either switch Barnes to the right or just like for like, just ask them different questions.

 

Other than that I'm not sure there's a lot more we can do from the bench tbh

Good game, two aggressive sides pressing each other hard. Proper football. Chances either end albeit they’ve had the better.
