Just put a little £20 safety bet on us not finishing top 4. Would have gone top 5 but couldn't find a market.

Goes with my safety bet(s) on Sunderland getting promoted. If the worst case scenario happens this weekend at least I'm financially compensated for it.

Of course not [emoji38] The dilemma is always tuning into the forum at the same time and not knowing which poster is closest to real time! Just for another hit watching for the red dot on flash scores too. Come on Sunday already!

We'll want this so much more than them, it will take some horrifically bad luck to see us fall at the last here imo

I’m sure Eddie will have them whipped into shape and ready. I’m hoping for something like the Romans v the barbarian Germanic hoards from the opening battle scenes of Gladiator [emoji38]

Exciting weekend of football for the north east. Better to be in this position than not, no matter what happens.

It's not as though it's a toss-up though, we 're massively likely to qualify.

This, Everton would no doubt love to piss on our chips but how far are they going to go? Will they scrap for every ball for 90 mins? Throw themselves into last ditch tackles? Put their bodies on the line chasing lost causes? I can’t see it, we need an early goal and they’ll fold.

Moyes said in his presser today Doucoure has “already accepted a higher offer to go somewhere else” (might be paraphrasing a bit).

Appreciate he’s played virtually every game, and probably agreed to go wherever he’s going a while ago, but given the circumstances around this game, would he really want to play in it?

Given he is absolutely shit, I don't think it'll make much of a difference.

He might be absolutely shite (you’ll have watched far more of him than me..) but there’s obviously a reason he gets picked every week.

I mean I watched Alcaraz when he came on for him on Sunday, and he was… absolutely shite… although tbf others on here have said that’s not representative of him, but Moyes obviously much prefers Doucoure to him.

Anyone who's genuinely flapping about this game just isn't up to speed with who we are now!

Something freakish will have to happen on Sunday for us not to win, we are too good to let this slip. Most likely outcome is its done and dusted after 20-30 minutes and we are out of sight, enjoy.

Any chance Everton let their reserves or youth play this? I'm confident we will get it done but Everton literally have nothing to play for so would they give some new blood a run out?

If they do, many will find a way to make the prospect of well rested, desperate to impress youngsters terrifying.
