Please dear god no. Nothing is/would be cringier. Potentially ahead of Pickford keeping his 3rd clean sheet in 4 against us as well.

2 in his last 11 by my reckoning?

It's not a slam dunk because they've been useful away from home of late, but...

The defensive injuries are piling up.

They had their big season end celebration today, plus if Palace beat Wolves they can only finish 14th.

It's a must win at home, the team and the crowd will be mentally tuned in.

We're a really good team.

You couldn't ask for a more perfect home game really. I think if we score early we'll batter them, but if we don't it could be a bit of a slog, even if we do go on to win.

Early goal(s) please, and no sitting back when we lead. Don’t allow them to pick up momentum and bomb the box with balls. We do this and we often really struggle to get control of the game again. Especially since the anxiety in the crowd hits in.

I would honestly die if we lead only 1-0 and start sitting back too much of the second half.

They’re most likely going to have to play a forty-year-old (in July) at full back as well with Coleman injured today.

It’s up there with some of the defeats against the mackems as being the clubs most embarrassing defeats of the EPL era if we did lose. We’d have to accept we don’t deserve to play UCL if we cannot win.

They already have one against us, that 2022 game when they beat us 1-0 with 10 men, still haunts me to this day.

The crowd have to be up for this one, similar to Chelsea last week but even more so for this. None of this "we were nervous" bollocks. 90 minutes of relentless backing.

Fuck the Liverpool game.

Every game involving 3rd to 7th should be on, that's it. Let Liverpool Fans TV or whatever the hell it's called stream their game live and don't force the rest of us to have to see that.

May have missed messages about but are their centre backs like Tarkowski out?

Tarkowski was doing TV today so I assume he’s out for the season. Branthwaite did his hamstring today. Coleman also went off injured.

Everyone here would be confident of Villa or Chelsea winning at home against them.

Obviously. I think people in here are kind of confident but it means so much to everyone and anything can happen so it’s only natural to have the emotions about it and have the underlying fear of missing out despite it being relatively unlikely. Everyone just wants it so much.
