I wasn't going to mention those yet! You are of course correct? The narrative on here is to criticize anything to do with the club without any critical thinking!

Along with the general need to have every transfer be a hit due to PSR is it not also that we do a nuts amount of groundwork on very specific targets and so pivoting isn’t that easy to do?

It’s hard to imagine Howe approving signings that haven’t been thoroughly vetted. The lengths we go to might be even deeper after the Tonali stuff.

Bought into this theory this morning Rich, then our recruitment team went "dunno what about Aaron Ramsdale lol".

Think it proves it rather than disproves it, as Howe’s worked with him before.

Can we loan them Osula? Get him a season of starting.

We've already lost Wilson. Might be losing Isak. Why give a third striker away!?

And Andy Howe spotted him originally: https://www.squawka.com/en/features/aaron-ramsdale-scouting-data-andy-howe-bournemouth/

Nee groundwork needed.

I'd heard on the grapevine the insistence on domestic targets was built largely on the belief that 'we can't afford a big money foreign flop due to PSR'.

It's likely the difference between trying to flog Chris Wood after a bad spell vs. Antony.

Chelsea have the right idea with big money foreign flops. Just ship them off to KSA no matter how fucking useless they’ve been .

New bid of £40m please. Easily worth it in our current position.

And he actually wants to play for us.

Would be so underwhelming but we are desperate

Doesn’t sound like the price we’re willing  to pay is the issue, more that Brentford want a replacement in first.

Looks like he's our best option for getting in someone who can hit the ground running while Isak wraps his head around the fact he's here for another year and gets back to business.

isak wont be here next season
