Watkins and Wissa would be horrific. Would cost the best part of £100M (if not exactly that) combined and we'd have to replace them both in 3/4 years anyway.

I think Gordon through the middle at Villa is inevitable anyway now. We won't be bringing a striker in until this weekend at the very earliest, and that doesn't leave enough time for them to work on our pressing triggers etc. Absolute mess

They both have resale value though, Son has just gone to the US for £20m at 33, Firmino to Saudi at 32 for about £20m.

I think that’ll probably happen anyway now, we won’t have time to properly integrate a new striker. Guess if he’s experienced like Wissa there might be a chance.

Brentford will surely demand an outrageous fee (£60-70m) for Wissa with kick-off only a week on Saturday, that's assuming they're willing to do a deal at all. Think we've probably missed the boat on this one.

Provided the price for Wissa is not widely over the top then I think there would be deal of at least remaining book value after two \ three years service as he'd likely be up for Saudi cash etc.

Watkins maybe not but probs to US if he fancied it but he will be desperate to have a great season this year with the world cup on the horizon.

I get the PSR stuff but at the minute (very despondent) we will be looking at massive revenue drops with mid table \ non European finishes for the next few seasons with the squad weakened the way it is
