Ross Wilson of all people scuppering us

Was just going to ask that question so thanks for confirming. Bodes well if we do hire him. They’ve made a lot of smart moves IMO since rejoining the PL despite being ridiculed initially with their turnover.

Aye, I rate their business highly. Even where players haven't worked out he's done a great job of moving them on and recouping decent fees. I do wonder how much influence he'll be allowed to have over target selection if he comes here though.

Wissa probably goes right up to deadline day, once Brentford and Bournemouth get there replacements in.

Not ideal but probs deffo gets done, just means we don't have an out and out striker for probably first 3 games.

It also means we'll just have to pay whatever it takes to get it done, because by then all other options will have gone as well.

Weird though. If I'm Ouatarra then I think I'd much rather be at Bournemouth than this current version of Brentford. Unless he really is frustrated by lack of playing time.

Brentford is a good move for his career, he will likely get an initial pay increase and the chance to put himself in the shop window by being a regular starter for a more lucrative move further down the line.

He apparently earns £35k per week at Bournemouth so you would expect that to jump to at least £50k per week.

I went to check as I wasn't sure. Started 22 games for them last season. If Brentford have told him he'll be their leading forward I can see the appeal when you consider they're geared towards selling as a football club.

And only started the 22 as Evanilson was out for a few months.

One of my favourite people in the business, be such a great option for him but i cant see anybody joining the current setup

That actually reads like he doesn't expect Outtara to stay.

I just cant see Wissa staying, regardless of whether Brentford get a striker but I dont blame them for doing things in their time and not being bullied by the player.

They might be banking on reintegrating Wissa, a bit like us with Isak. Fair play to them as they have to protect their interests.
