Wow, a lot of money but a very necessary purchase, we were very much in a corner.

The dominos are falling into place with the linked transfers.

On balance I think we've had a very good window once this clears.

Throw your CV in fella.

Some times we need depth. Do we get 3 years out of wissa? Yes. In those 3 years will Nick be settled and possibly ripping it up? Maybe.

We need someone who scores goals now. Not next year or whatever and wissa is the closest to assured prem goals we have on the market.

This is a no brainer to be fair.

Maybe we do maybe we don't let's see. Maybe he will score the goals maybe he won't but let's be real here

55m on a one season wonder who's 29 with no European experience and 2 years left is bad business.

But it's all good I can't control what the club does and if people are happy so be it but let's no pretend we haven't put ourselves in this position and the club doesn't love to blame psr for certain woes.

As I've said before I don't want to hear any psr complaints when we do such deals, Bayern Munich esque shit.

Pope, Schar, Botman, Livra, Hall, Tonali, Bruno, Joelinton, Gordon, Wissa, Elanga is a good XI
Ramsdale, Trippier, Burn, Thiaw, Barnes, Ramsey, Murphy, Osula, Willock, Miley, Woltemade is depth that we have never ever known.

Compare that to the start of last season:

Pope, Livramento, Schar, Burn, Hall, Bruno, Joelinton, Tonali, Gordon, Isak, Murphy

Dubravka, Trippier, Lascelles, Botman, Kelly, Miley, Longstaff, Willock, Barnes, Wilson, Almiron.

Woltemade comes with a huge risk with how the majority of attacking German players fail in the premier league nowadays.

Everyone has risk, I was answering the question about which signings have upside.

How many Swedish strikers have come to the PL and doubled their value? I don’t think nationality is really a big factor.

No pre season so not up to speed and going on his jollies at an important part of the season.

Absolutely mad.

Core, imagine how Liverpool feel with Isak then, the fucking mugs

For a player worth £150m

He's worth what anyone is prepared to pay for him unfortunately. We're aggrieved because it's those horrible cunts but in the long run this'll look like a great bit of business mate.

Yes we're overpaying if that's the fee but we can’t go into a CL campaign with just Woltermade and Osula, we have no othrr option and Wissa is a very good option. Overall we will have come out of this window with a much stronger squad and better first 11.

I think losing Isak automatically means our first eleven is weaker but agree with every other word. We've been on the ropes all the summer but rather than being knocked out I'd say we're waiting for the scorecard. We're certainly better equipped for a four-tournament season than we were in 23/24 anyway.

It means it takes the pressure off the German lad and gives us all sorts of options

I think this is important. Do not want Tomasson 2.0 where he was thrown to the Wolves after Shearer got injured and Les left.

A signing we coulfn't afford not to make really, and he'll score goals. Not a fan of his behaviour to get here, but im a fickle cunt.

With him getting his first big pay day this late in his career, theres a decent chnace we can shift him to Saudi at some point and make a good chunk back too.

£55m for a 29 year old late bloomer is good business by Brentford. Held their ground and maximised his fee. PIF could learn from them.

Said at the start of the window we could have a brilliant summer and still end up with a worse team.

That said, squad is much better and medium-term the team will be just as good if Woltemade does well.
