Good news! We can stop flogging big nick at last.

Still a few games of flogging left before Wissa takes any of the real burden upfront. He'll be eased back in very slowly.

DM saying he’ll be on bench against Burnley.

Wow, hope so!

Great news about him not going to AFCON.

I doubt we'll see much of him and Woltemade together, especially if Osula is injured. Wissa coming in just means we have cover now. We're still in four tournaments and may well need it.

Yes, they could have.  Which still means that the club couldn’t have done anything about it if they did - so, again, it’s not up to NUFC.

Confused Gary Coleman GIF

I also said it wasn’t up to NUFC.

I said Doctor Congo could either pick him, or not pick him.

And they’ve not picked him. Easy decision when he’s had a long term injury and not kicked a ball in months.

This is like the xG of AFCON selection. He didn’t get picked is the fact. Everything else is just speculation.

Pleasantly surprised common sense has come out on top here.

Think he will be on the bench for Burnley game now (more so for the game warm up / cool down), with 30 minutes to come against Fulham.

Got Leverkusen and the mackems before Fulham. He’ll get minutes before then if he is going to be on the bench on Saturday, as rumoured.

Ah, some reason thought it was Fulham before Sunderland. In that case, 30 mins against Leverkusen then. Maybe even a start for 60 mins so Wolte is rested well before Sunderland.

Downie was saying on his YouTube channel that teammates were saying he was looking “frightening” in training. Bodes well.

Wonder if that's because he's training whilst dressed as Leatherface?

Not that I expect it at all, but it would be absolutely top trolling by Eddie if he whacked him on the bench the day after Congo leave him out the AfCON.

I expect it. Imagine his reception.

When do the players leave for duty? Seems like it's early this year.

Just thinking who will be missing for the derby (mainly for them now) and if not quite missing are they going to be focused on it when they re away in a few days.

They leave the day after I think.

It's the reason I refused to look at the deal from a finance POV. Obviously we'll not get that money back, but I'm convinced he's a helluva striker who will give us just what we need as the pace component in our strike arsenal.
