Geordie Ahmed
Think at the right price Wissa would be a very good signing He's versatile, so can play up front on his own or even alongside Isak, can even play out wide if necessary I think we could even make a few quid back if we sell him to Saudi in 2-3 years
duo
Can't see them selling him now - relegation would be more or less guaranteed

I suppose they don’t rate Kalimeundo which is disappointing. We were linked with Kalimuendo this summer. He's actually quite comparable to Wissa, and so I imagine he's on the list. Prem experience is taking priority first though.

I don’t think Brentford will sell him for cheap at all, they might as well keep him as he’s massively important to them. Especially now when Mbeumo has left. I also don’t see us willing to pay up because of his age. Very good player though. IF it happens it will take a long time I reckon. He’s also got 12 months left on his contract. You can’t knock back £30-£40 million and lose him for free.

Oh I didn’t know that. Having said that, I think him staying guarantees that they stay up with ease. Not that I think they’d be very likely to go down without, but more of a risk. Don’t see them selling below 45-50m. (just seen Kakas post, 2 years left) Edited July 19, 2025 by Ikon

Stottie
Huge change at Brentford, and maybe best for them to start anew. Them doing well probably depends on the new guy's system, not trying to recreate what Frank was doing without Frank and key players.

southernmag
We're in a tricky spot - need a strong backup to Isak, good enough to lead the line for most of a season if Isak's out. But we can't necessarily afford to blow 30-40 mill on a 28 (?) year old in a PSR sense. Personally I could stomach 25ish for Wissa, otherwise a cheaper continental alternative with some goal scoring credentials in a top division. That way there's a decent chance they could adjust ok to the PL. I don't think Osula is ready.

sempuki
I'd be happy with this one now. Has an excellent scoring record and we might have enough left over to continue our monitoring of a CB, CM and GK.
gdm
I’d be happy with it now basically coz I’m worn down to just having anyone remotely good. It’s been a fuckin disaster. Concerns about his age and quite a step down from Ekitike and even Pedro but better than nothing
Pilko
Convinced this one doesn't happen. No coincidence that as soon as we were strongly linked, Man U jacked up their Mbuemo bid. We've been used as a stalking horse yet again.
alexf
It's annoying that thanks to that cup win, Spurs are basically right back in the mix with the likes of us and Villa again next year. That's why I was quietly hoping they kept Ange and he had a shit start to the season and it messed up another year on the league for them. Suppose wait and see on Frank if he improves them but it would be hard not to based on last year and I imagine he won't be anywhere near as gung ho as Ange.
