I’d not go near Kluivert unless it was under £35m which it wouldn’t be Kluivert feels like we'd be buying at peak value. He had a great season, but he's not done much before that. nufcjmc
Genuinely interested thoughts for those who watch more of him looking at his goal record he seems to have massively out performed his previous seasons tally. Is this a case of all clicking? Good side last year or a purple/golden season he can't replicate?

The College Dropout
Brentford’s attackers score a lot of goals. Schade scored 11. Wissa 19. Mbeumo 20 (some of which were pens). I think Wissa has the same number of open lay goals as Isak. Thats how much of a bagsman he was. im unsure how much of it is them and how much of it is the system. all clearly talented players that have improved. We’ve not seen any Frank players in the PL go on to play for other PL teams to have a good indication. Brentford did have Watkins and a few others so their data led modelling does seem to get them undervalued players that can go on to improve.

Toney not staying in the PL doesn’t help with seeing what Frank players look like outside the Brentford setup. 19 league goals no penalties is usually golden boot winner level output. Salah had 20, Haaland and Isak had 19. It’s really elite level output. It’s top 10 in Europe. Better than Harry Kane. funnily enough Ayoze might have the best non-penalty goals to games ratio in Europe last season. 19 in 30. Isak had 19 in 34, Haaland 19 in 31. It’s the same for all Brentford attackers. Output improves year on year. Cisse just hit a hot streak. His level was consistently a decent poacher otherwise. geordie_b
Pay Brentford their asking price but in negotiations with Wissa say that in 2 years he'll be surplus to requirements so you'll be selling him to Saudi. If he's onboard then we make most of our money back and he gets a nice retirement in his early 30s

Skeletor
Its disappointing only in the sense that he's not as glamorous of a signing as Ekitike. In terms of goal scoring, he's by far an upgrade on Ekitike.

Not looking at his stats hes not (hes 28 and has three times scored double figures in the top flight, Ekitike twice by 23) and he doesn't look as good an all round player
