*effectively two years left

Cheers! Is this something to do with an option to extend it? Heard it mentioned but didn't know what the conditions of it were. Take it that BFC can just trigger it then.

Aye, basically Brentford have an option to extend, which they’ll obviously take if he doesn’t go this summer.

At this point it just means everyone’s effectively negotiating as if he has two years rather than one year left.

Terrible name aside, he's one of the most reliable accounts on Twitter.

He is also a massive Brentford fan like.

I follow TransferChecker, after some links a while back from Statsbomb Kev.

He, I assume its he, absolutely nailed Eze to Arsenal. Said it would happen weeks ago and that Eze would only go to Spurs if Arsenal didn't commit.

He has also said all along that Isak is not for sale for a discounted price. That's a rare call for non NUFC pundits.

It is not a scattergun site posting different rumours every day for engagement.

We have a clear run at Wissa and should really get this done.

If it gets done, I reckon it’ll be after the Liverpool match, to avoid Romano/Ornstein stirring the pot again with “Wissa in, paving way for Isak’s transfer! He Only Wants Liverpool!” before the big game.

I think TC is actually a Brentford fan, he’s always maintained that Wissa to NUFC gets done. Also that the ‘£60m’ price tag is wide of the mark.

I guess at some point you have to start considering the cost of not having a striker rather than the value of the individual you’re getting.

Eggheads and bean counters who know their shit when it comes to economic theories refer to it as the "Opportunity Cost"

This one seems like the most ready made to slot in type of signing. Which is what we need, the team will create chances, we just need someone reliable to convert.

If the hold up is squabbling over a few million, just pay it. Every game between now and the window closing are potential 3 points that we’ll be dropping, how much is that worth?

Not sure about this. I guess meet the price if indeed they have been told one and if it's then some other reason pull the plug

Yoane Wissa has returned to training with the Brentford squad and the striker could face Crystal Palace this weekend, head coach Keith Andrews says.

The 28-year-old missed last weekend's Premier League opening-day defeat at Nottingham Forest as he had been training away from the squad after saying he wished to leave the club.

A second bid from Newcastle United worth up to £40m for the DR Congo forward was rejected this week.

I suppose this settles the “is Wissa less of a dick than Isak” debate.

Wouldn't be surprised if we've said to his reps, get the fucker back into training or we walk away, doesn't make our job playing hardball with Isak any easier if we sign someone doing similar (however different the circumstances).
