Some guy on radio 5 has just said the next 24 hrs could be interesting regarding Wissa, as he understands the Newcastle offer was what Wissa understood Brentford would accept.  So meetings ongoing

I'll keep a look out the window for flying pigs.

It's insane how many "next 24 hours" situations we've had this summer.

The general consensus among Liverpool fans is that they are a legacy club through nothing but hard work and as such as soon as they look at a player the other club should hand them over with a big discount and should in fact look on it as an honour.

For those not old enough to know the truth. This article (2022) puts that right, legacy club through hard work my arse:

“Blinkered associates who serve as media pundits…”

And don’t we fucking know it. Triple, maybe even quadruple, dose of Carragher and Redknapp this weekend. The joys.

Define reasonable price tag though. £60m for a guy with one year left on his contract and is going to piss off to AFCON doesn't really seem like value for money.

*effectively two years left

Our failure to strengthen over previous windows has left us in a very poor negotiating position. Everyone knows we're desperate. If we'd signed (and I know there were good reasons we were unable to) a long term back up then replacement for Isak last summer as would have been sensible it would have been better value. Every day that goes by makes the inevitable panic purchase of one of these likely cost more. We may just need to cough up, and then totally reassess our negotiating team for future transfer windows.

Who would you have sold last summer to get that player whilst also avoiding a points deduction?
