I did have a friend with benefits a couple of years ago but it never lasts. Ultimately one of you will inevitably want more, so I'm not going down that route again. If im still alive in 10-15 years I might be open to a female companion as there will be no pressure at that age for sex and marriage. Just a couple of oldies enjoying one another's companionship.

and the odd handjob.

Me and my wife have been together for 36 years. I'm a young 69 year old and she is much younger. Our music tastes have changed over the years and some of her favourite artists I haven't heard of. BUT she was gobsmacked a few months ago when I started singing along to Sam Fender. I think his music is great and yes we still have a silly dance together when alone in our home. Stay young!

Married 44 years, very soon 45.

Everything would have been rosy if only we’d not signed Wissa and we’d signed Hindsight instead

Things like this are easy to say in retrospect.

Seriously though, spending over 100 million on a 55 year-old was a stupid decision.

it's starting to look like that. also, seems high risk to sign a player who's name is an anagram of "away noises". prone to agitate for another move? we can't say we weren't warned

Its also an anagram of 'nay woes' which seems rather contradictory.

of course, the greatest anagram remains the legendary Wayne Oasis

might i suggest that the thread is renamed to reflect this?

You are correct. As usual.

Twitter itk’s claiming that it’s his ACL and a lot more serious than being let on today.

Be interesting to see how club manage the narrative around  this if he’s not fit  by new deadline. Can see why after paying 50 million for a 29 year old it would need some damage limitation as well.

It’s a financial disaster if that’s the case. FIFA will cover his wages up to 12 months, similar as they did for Owen, but it’s effectively £12.5m of amortisation written off without your player kicking a ball for the club.

I fucking hate international football.

Put it this way:

1. Wissa is a hit while Nick is a busy

2. Nick is a hit while Wissa is a bust

I would take 2 all day long, given the world is not perfect.

Wissa is always a short term insurance buy.

Thankfully the Twitter ITKs are almost certainly putting two and two together and getting five.

What benefit is there to drip feeding the news?

Exactly makes no sense. If its an ACL, its an ACL. They wouldn't lie about it, thats just weird.

We were already a laughing stock with our striker problems and Isak saga and him getting injured. Who gives a fuck if there's one more to throw on the pile?

He’s not going to bare face lie, just sounds like he’s not going to be on the grass quite as quickly as they’d have liked

‘Yoane saw a specialist again yesterday for a check-up on his knee," Howe said.

"We probably think now it'll be eight weeks rather than six. No recurrence or problem, just slightly longer."
