They will have been aware of what we bid for Sesko, and so have set that as the starting point marker.

From various articles earlier in the summer, somewhere around £60 million with add ons probably gets the deal done.

Probably the striker I'm least taken by out of those we've been linked with and the most expensive.

Can only presume Woltemade is prohibitively expensive or not on the market at the moment.

HE ONLY WANTS BAYERN

He's the opposite of Isak really. Lots of physical power, but missing the clinical touch and precision.

One of our biggest issues the past few seasons is not being clinical enough (depsite scoring a ton). We can create chances. Although that even looked iffy in patches last year. Not taking our chances has cost us points as much as switching off at the back.

I do hope we are going for someone creative to replace Longstaff, like Paqueta. We need more unpredictability and spontaneous skill through the middle. The engine room is stocked with Tonali, Miley and Big Joe. Bruno can do both to a point.

Samu might frustrate more of we get him. The pace and power should create more space though for us to overload.

I really think this guy represents the biggest risk out of all of the players we’ve been linked with. Sure, he’s young, but he’s incredibly raw… and on pretty much every YT clip, his first touch seems incredibly erratic. Still, good goalscoring record, but I’d much rather we went for Watkins, Jackson etc before him.

Disagree jackson for pl experience maybe but Watkins is near 30 the money wouldn't be worth it and his first touch is shit. .Eddie will  coach samu far better

He has all the attributes to be a success I'm the PL

He seems strong, ok pace, his first touch looks really poor though. I dunno… I’m not a scout… just seems like a massive massive risk.

I’d much rather go for either a proven PL striker (Watkins) or someone who has tonnes of attributes, has some experience in the league, but needs finessing (Jackson).

Exactly the type of player we should be doing our outmost to bring in before its too late and bigger clubs start sniffing around. If Isak leaves, getting him and Wissa would be fantastic.

At £80m? Or even £60m?

I dunno… his YT highlights are the least impressive of any of the strikers we’ve looked at, to me.

But hey, if it happens I’ll happily support him. I’m sure Eddie would know his shit and make it work.

It seems high for sure, but I thought the same about the fees we paid for Isak, Trippier, Gordon, Barnes and to some extent Livramento and Hall too at the time which in hindsight has turned out to be good deals relatively to what we would expect to get back for them today. I try not to get too hung up on fees now.

Very non-commital response, but whatever we are prepared to pay for a player, I'm ok with

He is quick, strong, great in the air, known for his progressive runs, can shoot on either foot. Is he the finished product hell no - but neither is Sesko and nor was Isak. If Eddie is interested I back him to develop him.

He may have excellent potential but I don't think he is anywhere near Isak's level at the moment. Probably worse than Wissa or NJ at the moment as well. If we have the confidence to keep Isak for one more year then it may make sense to buy this lad and loan him out tho.

Football isn’t as simple as player A scored this, player B scored this so add them together job done.  Isak is an absolutely world class striker on his day who brings more than goals. It’s much more nuanced than adding up goal figures.  We’re essentially going to be weakening our team massively

Thought rather Isak didn't bring that much other than his goals last season tbh. Useless target man, not a good presser.
