We didn't bid for him because the initial asking price was considered too high.

 

He's quite comfortable where he is and so isn't going to agitate for a move unless that changes, and rightfully so.

His first touch and technique is still a little suspect, and made up for by his great physicality and Portuguese League defenders. We won't push out the boat for him at 60 million quid, too much of a risk.
