All of his efforts at goal last season.

He looks right footed but is also comfortable shooting with his left.

Judging purely on that I think he would frustrate the fuck out of us

If Wissa is going to happen, I’d rather we just rolled with him even if Isak left, instead of spending £60m+ on average. That will hurt us more long term as we wouldn’t be able to move on any striker.

Rather accept the short term pain and plan long term striker option instead of a panic move. World Cup year so options will be opened up.

we won’t spend £60m on average, we never have and we never will.

We’ve never been needed to be in this panic situation. Literally chasing shadows for strikers in the perception of “we have to get one”.

These are not going to be on par with our other big money signings which are based on long term scouting and confidence.

There's still price marked packs out there for 40p, you've just got to be savvy and shop around

Buy in bulk, even if they go past the sell by they should still be good for a few weeks or so.

60M+ 5M then it would seem. That's obviously ridiculous. But that could easily be the difference between having a very good season and having a shit season. So I'm fine with it, would be great to see him sign before Monday but that's obviously unlikely.

Whilst I agree we’ve never been in this position, my take is we’ll go with Gordon and Osula until Isak decides to play again before we waste vast sums of money.

Nothing in the way we’ve been ran so far suggests we’ll waste a penny.

Seem's like JSL's conversion rate was actually great last season at 26%. 2nd in the league only to Wood.

By comparison, Isak's was 20% and Jackson's was around 15%

The data on him is very very encouraging

I also love that it would be Howe once again showing me up as a complete know-nowt if it's a huge success. I've never rated Ramsdale, whenever I saw JSL last season he kept missing sitters, and I've been fairly vocal about not rating either.

When will people fucking learn that Eddie Howe knows EXACTLY what he’s doing. People love complaining if they don’t get their own way man.

I respect this view but I’m more cautious. Howe’s influence wrt recruitment is bigger than ever, which makes this moment less predictable. His part in historical player ID here is hard to gauge (at least some to a lot), even if results have been good. At Bournemouth, when he had full control, recruitment was patchy—and he’s always had a blind spot with domestic players. We're in a transitional stage, with no sporting director, a weak data department and operating under a lot of pressure. This is how mistakes get made.
