Didn’t expect this Missing out on Wolves' £60m striker, so pivoting to signing possibly the most exciting striker prospect out there, taking him from under the nose of Bayern Munich. BennyBlanco
Gives the squad a huge boost but also stacks the deck massively in our favour with the Isak situation. We have two quality strikers - let’s just rest at this level and wait for the scousers to come to us now with an offer that we simply can’t turn down. Casey
Anyone know after how many hours of having a lob-on do I need to seek medical assistance? Good shit Andy Howe Edited August 28, 2025 by Casey
Ben
I hope the number 9 shirt has been explained to him and he knows what that means to us, hopefully that is one of the reasons he is coming

He theoretically became available ten days ago so we must have put the feelers out during that period, whilst making one last pursuit for a PL star - which was always the preferred option. When Wolves slammed the door we engaged Stuttgart and bish bash bosh.

In fairness, they probably did prefer Strand Larsen due to him being more of a known quantity and somewhat a guarantee of settling into the team and hitting the ground running. As fans, Woltemade all day.
Ketsbaia
The numbers are slightly frightening tbh, but a lot of people are saying nice things about him. Some of whom are trustworthy.
Pandamninator
My only fear is that we weren't respectful and lodged the bid before Stuttgart invited us.

Wolfcastle
Think the reassurances that the club is on it is part of the satisfaction were feeling. Doubts were creeping in.

Every striker we have gone for in this window was a Wilson replacement and/or looking towards a succession post Isak next year. As soon as we got a definitive answer from the meeting with Isak before the Liverpool game we finalised this deal that had been very much on the radar, but on the back burner until that point. The focus switches to a more prem experienced striker that could work with him. Someone like Wissa feels a better fit than a Strand Larsen type now.
