He’s not. We discussed this post match. He’s contributing and playing well and settled much better than expected but yet to see him in a real goal scoring position facing goal with his feet. For example the through ball played to Isak Sunday that was saved. Want to see what he can do in those positions.

Different profile. He won't be on the  defenders shoulder, but he'll drop back to help with the build-up. Check out his stats from Germany; he rarely gets in behind. He's all about quick passes, linking up, and playing with his back to the goal. That's why we're thinking of changing our style.

Was a moment in the second half that sums him up perfectly. Gordon has the ball wide on half way, driving forward. Isak would have made a run in behind bringing the defenders in to the space Gordon wants. Nick just stays in space running along with Gordon. Their defence can't press Gordon as they need to maek Nick, leaving a big channel for Gordon to go win a corner.

Teams are already worried about his ability to play a first time pass and it's creating space for everyone else.

As the wingers get more comfortable with him and end up taking positions between the touchline and the box it’s going to be really important that the fullbacks offer width that’s vacated.

Which is why it sucks they're both hurt currently.

Get your point but what I’m saying is I want to see what he’s like shooting

So take last nights goal for example. I want to see him end up where Barnes is and see if he can finish with his feet.

Because of his height refs just let defenders crawl all over his back in aerial duels. They’d blow the whistle if he was shorter, it’s a complete joke

Yep the ref even indicated last night with his hand that because of Nick's height it wasn't a free kick

He’s such a fascinating player in the sense that I want to see how Eddie sets the team up around him.

Elanga was bought to supply a 9 - not in the Big Nick mould so it’s kind of impacted him - just in the short term as I think playing with Big Nick will add a new dimension to his game

Gordon seems to be clicking with him, as does Bruno and possibly Ramsey - He’s got a decent understanding with Barnes and Murphy too

The player who may be under threat is possibly Big Joe - I personally want to see Miley as 6 and Tonali in his Italy role to the left - Ramsey can also be this

This is something I’ve noticed in a lot of team sports that has a level of physicality, smaller dudes get away with murder so often.

Could watch that third goal all day long, simply beautiful link-up and incisive pass with a brutal finish. Best goal we've scored in ages given the competition it was scored in.

nah man.

the gordon goal against barca was pure sex.

Probably only watched it once, too disappointed in losing to fully appreciate it

i could only bring myself to watch it when it came up on the  uefa social media page.

the build up, first touch passes, and the movement was outstanding.

never really appreciated it in the ground.

go seek it out.
