I know Barnes missed by trying to be cute and go near post. But plenty have said Barnes will love playing with Woltemade and they’re not wrong. Unreal turn and pass to feet for the shot.

So many of our players over/under hit passes or put it behind the run. But not this fella.

Of all our wingers, Barnes is the best fit to play with him and I think we will get plenty of chances from their link up. Well, mostly Big Nick feeding wor Harvey.

Rewatching the highlights his general demeanor and style gave Berbatov vibes but with better workrate. Hope he builds on that excellent debut, could become a cult hero in no time

This comes through more and more every time I see him

Ever since I noticed him at Stuttgart, I've kept an eye on him. And he simply captivated me with his playing style, his footballing artistry, and his personality. I've become a Woltemade fan.

And since he's been playing for Toon, I'm completely blown away. I think the Premier League and the whole environment in this region are a perfect fit. Three months ago, I couldn't have imagined wearing a Newcastle shirt. And now I love the club and the area. I've learned a lot in the meantime. Even a little Geordie, "Howay the lads."

I completely agree. Like Kane, Wolte often drops back and joins the build-up play. And then there are his fantastic passes...

Yeah, and he's such a good technician that I think his finishing will improve. We will coach more of the goal poaching movement into him like we did with our previous striker.

This, the weight on his passes (and they’re normally difficult passes with very little room for error in terms of direction) is always perfect. An absolute technician. Superb passer, incredible vision, excellent touch and ball control. Just a brilliant footballer

The most excited I think I’ve ever been about our squad and it’s mainly due to Woltemade coming in as the final piece of the jigsaw. Just feel that we will go from strength to strength now and he will be a big part of that with the way he links it all.

Weird how we are 12th yet I’ve been so positive about us all season, can see it’s a matter of time before it really clicks

And yet he also has it in him to score a bunch of headers. It's almost a bit bizarre, but in a good way.[emoji38]

I still genuinely think Wissa is the final piece and will score shit loads for us.

I know we paid £60m+ for both Isak and Woltemade, which isn't exactly in the discount aisle, but the cartel clubs must be blowing a gasket so hard every time we fall ass backwards into these superstar forwards :lol:

Manchester United higher ups must be fuming. They stole Sesko (who appears to be a pretty standard big man in the Premier League with no immediate stand out gifts) and we got an absoluute unique gem who is really weird and good.
