Villa did it with selling Diaby and Malen after 1 season..We just have to bite the bullet and hope someone come in for Elanga or Wissa though. Wissa we would jave to accept a huge loss on ..It really was bad business spending 55 million on a 29 year old striker

West Ham to the rescue , we need them to stay up

GK, CB, LB, CM, RW and ST needed.  Gonna be a busy summer for this lad.

Agreed. Looking at us last night (and I know it was a decent performance), we need an overhaul. At least one new striker, a first choice RW and probably a decent backup too, left back understudy for Hall, a new keeper and probably a new CM. A proper #10 would be a great addition too.

its a lot and it probably won’t happen but our squad is littered with players who simply aren’t good enough:

Willock

Elanga

Murphy

Wissa

Wolte (sad to say but he’s just not a good fit for Eddie)

Osula

Krath

A new keeper and striker will set us back about £100m. We need cover for full backs as well as a right winger. I'd love to see where this money is coming from

At least one of Tino and Tonali will go imo.

Where did you read that?

"According to Saudi Arabian journalist Ahmen Al-Ajlan, PIF is planning to sell all four Saudi Pro League clubs in its portfolio-Al-Nassr, Al-Ittihad, Al-Ahli, and Al-Hilal-as part of a broader strategy to reduce expenditure.

Since an exorbitant amount of money has been spent by PIF in the last couple of years to uplift the stature of the Saudi Pro League, the time has apparently come to take a step back.

Having done its bit, PIF is reportedly looking to reduce its spending. It owns 75% of these four clubs, and the remaining share rests with the Saudi Ministry of Sport. By putting these clubs up for sale, PIF may want to open investment opportunities for independent organisations, a move that could bring a fresh influx of funds, which could further enhance the quality of the league.

As per The Express, Al-Hilal appear to be generating quite a buzz among the potential buyers. The club harbours an impressive squad, as the likes of Darwin Nunez, Joao Cancelo, and Theo Hernandez are all part of the side. The report further states that billionaire Prince Al Waleed bin Talal is currently the frontrunner to acquire the club. However, he is facing stiff competition from Prince Abdullah bin Mossad, the former Sheffield United owner."

In Ross and Suds we trust... if they go down the data model (DataMB) based on this season performance and youth (u23) then you'd be looking at:

Tonali - Taichi Fukui (21) from Arouca or Stije Resink (22) from Groningen.

Livramento - Brooke Norton-Cuffy (22) from Genoa.

Gordon - Maxence Rivera (23) from Heerenveen or Omari Hutchinson (22) from Forest.

Don’t know enough about most of these players but signings like Hutchinson are why we are stagnating at the moment. If we sold Gordon we need to go up a level not down! Someone like Ndiaye

He fucking better have a plan for this summer. We need a major overhaul at GK/Up top and extra bodies BEFORE we even consider the likely departures of Tonali, Tino etc.

Howe strikes me as someone who won’t like large numbers in/out at one time but surely we’ve got to be looking to ship 8 out at a minimum.

Elanga

Willock

Wissa

Krafth

Trippier

Ramsdale

Vlach

Targett

Thats before we’ll probably need to replace those who are coveted by clubs in Europe.

That’s major surgery and in a World Cup year.

He fucking better have a plan….

Let's get promising talent from the Bundesli.....oh

We signed a player completely ill-suited to Eddie's style, not a shit player. He's clearly a big talent.

That's on the scouting team, the coaches and the manager, if he had final say.

Mitchell wasn’t hugely wrong about our transfer policies but was a complete bellend about it.

Hopefully Wilson shares those opinions but goes about fixing it in a way that doesn’t decimate relationships at the club.

Needs to be a summer of change.

Yep - it was completely needless to antagonise and call out Howe in such a public way.  He could’ve had a more strident talk behind closed doors, and then made a more softly-softly approach to it all publicly.  Something like ‘the club needed to get tried and tested players in to survive and grow quickly, but because of PSR we’re now entering a different stage of the club’s growth, and the transfer approach will change with it.  I’ll be working with Eddie to ensure we get the best possible talent in, and rest assured we’ll still be spending every penny that the club is able to on improving the squad and supporting Eddie’.  Summik like that anyway.
