I'll watch from a distance for my own sanity. Regarding the new DOF and CEO, I'll show them some trust when they've actually earned it, and no earlier. Danh1 Posted May 13 Share Posted May 13 Think it’s only fair we give him a chance, wasn’t exactly thrilled with the appointment given the clubs he’s worked for previously but he seems good at getting transfers done and I think that’ll help us hugely. Obviously looking at what players signed isn’t a fair thing to judge him on, there’s a misconception that sporting directors are basically scouts. That's a very simplistic view, obviously we're not in the same ball park but it didn't hurt Man Utd not having European football this season, nor languishing in the basement of the Premier League. We are probably are 7-9 in the pecking order, whereas Man U were always ahead of us and probably even Spurs and Villa last year despite them not having Europe.
