Not that much of a shield really, when you've a 37% win rate, 1.34 points per game, and averaged 1.28 goals scored and 1.54 goals conceded, over 155 league games. The reason why Bruce and Souness are so despised is because they managed to gaslight the nation into thinking that we were the problem. And whether you think that was gained with a huge amount of fortune on our side or not, he still achieved it. Bruce’s best achievement whilst here was managing not to be McClaren levels of shit.
