I reckon they'll be close to full strength for us bar maybe two or three.

You’d have to tell me what “full-strength” is first

I don’t think we can tbh. We played on Sunday, and we have Chelsea on Saturday. Apparently Solanke, Udogie and Romero are still injured so I think we have nine out.

Kinsky may get a run-out in goal which will be a tough one. In theory we only have four fit defenders but I can see Gray getting played somewhere in the back four to give somebody a break - could be anywhere tbh. I’d expect TF to play one of Bentancur/Palinha with Bergvall and Sarr in midfield. Maybe Tel up front, Odobert on the left, Johnson on the right. Kudus really needs a rest.

If that is the case then subs will be whichever defender gets a break, Simons, Kolo Muani, Kudus and some kids. It’s a very lightweight team and young - average age 22.7. Going to get bullied.

Based on Howe’s press conference this morning about needing to give players time on the pitch, I think we’ll be:

Ramsdale

Krafth

Thiaw

Lascelles

Burn

Ramsey

Tonali

Willock

Elanga

Osula

Barnes

We cant have Krafth and Lascelles in the back 4. Id have neither personally. I know its a big work load but weve got Hall and Tino back soonish and defenders can genuinely play more games.

If we were playing a poorer side, then yes but if we get knocked out the carabao cup because we went to weak, we would be annoyed with ourselves.

Surely Schar would be in ahead of Lascelles?

Osula, Barnes, Elanga, Ramsey, Tonali, Joelinton, Schar, Ramsdale are all either fully rested or have had significant rest in the last couple of weeks and should be able to give a good physical output IMO. Theres just no reason to not have them in the team (unless Howe decides he wants to go even stronger and thinks a few others still have plenty in the tank).

Trippier, Burn, Thiaw and Botman are the ones who there are question marks over. Schar is fine to come in, since the standard barely drops when he is in the side. But IMO playing Krafth or Lascelles would be a huge downgrade against a good side in Spurs.

Ive no interest if Krafth or Lascelles are good lads who should get a game, we need to be ruthless and only play them in an absolute emergency. Both have been dependable in the past but Krafth looked miles off it last time he played and go knows where Lascelles levels are at.

Just to add to the above, Thiaw doesn't look tired at all, fucker never stops. I dont see any issues whatsoever with him starting. Id start him at right back and give Trippier a rest personally.

Krafth we could just about get away with. Lascelles? A step too far I think. He's good as emergency cover, but a game against a CL side is a bit much.

I trust Howe to have worked on something that will work, like the side the other year that was put out away to Man Utd looked so mixed on paper, but players executed their roles perfectly.

Personnel wise isn’t what I’m concerned with, it’ll be the game plan and consistency. Hit and miss so far this season, but if if the midfield / attacked hooked up, Lascelles and Krafth in defence shouldn’t be an issue.

Psyched to see Osula play a full game. Just hope we can keep the ball well enough to get it to him.

Test to see where he is. Was poor at Leeds when he started but has been good from the bench. Chance to show he's more than just an impact sub.

Love that Eddie is still bothered by the Chelsea defeat. We'd very likely have been in three straight finals.

Probably would have won it as well given the injury problems Liverpool had in the final.
