This is exactly how I describe the Toon at the moment.

I wouldn't have it any other way Rod. Those low moments make the highs all the more sweeter.

At 1-2 I’d made my peace with going out of this for the greater good, as disappointing as it was.

To go through is class. After it going to extra time and pens, going out would have been an absolute disaster.

Nice draw at home in the next round please so we can rotate more

We're a mental team like, never seen anything like it. We're our own unstoppable force and immovable object rolled into one. That third goal for them sums it up. Barnes scored and rightly so like, Bournemouth were basically out for the count and we could and should have done that earlier. To then conspire to concede when they had absolutely nothing left is absolutely insane, we're so self destructive.

We won in the end and although the extra half an hour isn't ideal it would have been miles worse if we'd also not got through.

Ramsdale: 4.5 in game 8 on pens. 6.5 total

Trippier: 6 Miley: 7

Thiaw: 6.5

Botman: 5

Livramento: 6 Hall: 7

Tonali: 7

Ramsey: 6.5

Willock: 6.5

Barnes: 9

Woltemade: 6.5

Wissa: 6 Gordon: 7.5

Bruno's stutter was awful because he didn't actually attempt the whole point of the stutter (to send the keeper the other way) . He just looked at the ball and kicked it. He did the same but got lucky with his pen against Leeds but he shouldn't be allowed to take them unless absolutely necessary.

It was horrific, if you do the stutter you only make it harder for yourself without any gains if you stare at the ball and not the keeper. Just dumb.

His stutter is worse than that lassie off the ttttraitors.

Hardly horrific. Hard and to one side but the stutter means you can't get enough power to beat the keeper should they choose the right way.

Better than the Schar style try to psyche the keeper out and place it a yard from him.

I have a real irrational hatred of Lewis Cook

Like a Temu John McGinn.

I would throw that non descript RB of theirs in there as well

I swear he closed his eyes taking the pen against Leeds

All their English and Scottish players look the same so I hate them all equally

Anyone else think the commentator was clearly biased towards Bournemouth today? Seemed a bit gutted they lost and wouldn’t stop going on about their missed chances. Like they were really hard done by.

They had more shots on target and were wasteful. But we missed more than our fair share and all.

Yeah, might have been the same commentator on the stream I was watching, he also had a shit accent which made it even worse.

Think it would have been. Think everyone got this guy and Darren Ambrose on co-comms.

The world feed commentator with Darren Ambrose was Dan Mason.

Only teasing as I know you're a reg, but I've felt like this is standard operating procedure as far as commentators go for as long as I recall.

Off the top of my head, only Ally McCoist, Michael Bridges, and Ray Hudson (before he retired) were ever really positive when it comes to us.

You may know some more, but honestly in general we're played down in multiple ways across all media coverage. We're no darlings.

Oh 100%. Plenty of pundits don’t like us. But the main commentator is usually pretty neutral and not biased. I do think Fletch off TNT likes us. But he’s just an excitable bloke that seems to just love football and cheers for everyone. Co-comms will always be a mixed bag. Between not giving a shit or trying to hide some kind of bias.

I felt like this guy was regularly waffling on about how great Bournemouth were. Even after we started turning the screw after the bad opening. He was going on and on about how great Bournemouth had been and that they were unlucky not to be ahead.

He was the same in extra time and also sounded a bit gutted when Barnes scored his second

I can't comment on the commentator as didn't hear it but whenever I'm a neutral and I've sat through nearly 120mins of football and it doesn't go to a penalty shootout I feel pretty disappointed

I’m sure he said "we", referring to Bournemouth at one point.
