Everton have one win in 5. If we score twice that should be enough.

They are good away from home. 6 wins, 3 draws 4 losses. Will be a tough game. Tougher than at their place.

Botman was gassed after about half hour last night. Never happen but I’d be starting Alex Murphy ahead of burn for this one . Burn has being poor for a while. Eddie never do it only thing

Murphy looked bang average against poor opponents last night. He'd get hoyed all over in the Premier League

This is the type of game where you think a win here will get our season up and running in the league so expecting a draw or loss if the rest of the season is to go by

Everything about this screams miserable. Moyes, their decent away form, a low block, our general stupidity, king of the gimps in goal for them. Find a way to win because it’s not going to be pretty

I think this game, Mancs, Mackems and FA Cup all at home will define this season and give us a real indication of where things are at.

The Brentford game was a worry and we’ve responded well, but think these games are the real acid test and will set the tone for going forward.

21 years old making his senior debut in the champions league and he slotted right in no problem.  Much more experienced players around him getting pulled a sonder.  I was very impressed with his performance, can’t see how you couldn’t be

Most of the experienced players switched off for obvious reasons.  The idea that playing against the shower we played midweek is indicative of anything isn’t to be taken seriously - ‘Champions League’ or not, they were shitter than the Bradford side we faced in the league cup earlier this season.  If Howe picks the lad, it will be because he thinks he’s good enough - he looks miles away to me.  I’d be astonished if Murphy gets the nod for a game as important as this one.

Depends if we can lure them out and hit them on the counter. Seeing Tarkovski in a foot race with Sesko gives me hope if we can get Gordon isolated against him.

But they likely will sit deep and let us have the ball and that is generally been our biggest downfall this season. Especially without Bruno we really struggle to unlock stubborn defenses and only looks dangerous when the game is chaotic and we win the ball high up and attack quickly.

Just read some presser comments. Tino sounds close. Maybe back for one of the CL games.

Ramsey hopefully training today. So you think must be close.

Miley another two weeks or so?! Had injections and sounds fairly serious? The Miley injury is getting a bit like the scene from Snatch.

“5 minutes, Turkish.”

Everyone seems focused on the Barcelona UCL game, and yes I get it. It's exciting. But we are running out of games in the EPL, and this one will be a lot harder than most of the games we've played in the CL this season.

I wasn't a fan of Gordon up front, but given the alternatives I hope we go with it against Everton. We don't need 4 goals from him either, just one will do.

Expect a chore of this. Moyes and Everton are better suited to spoilers as an away team than having the onus on them at home. It'll be just like last game of last season just have to somehow make sure were the ones that get the goal

Everton are appalling to watch, but incredibly awkward to play against.

Impressive away form too. One loss in nine, including wins at Villa, Man United, Fulham and Bournemouth.

With their injuries, I'm not sure they're dynamic enough to hurt us in transition, but they'll happily sit in and cause problems from set pieces. 1-1

Big game looking at the league table, would be pretty unthinkable to lose and be 4 points behind these cunts and rooted in the bottom half.

Barcelona is very nice to have but this is the bread and butter, big improvement on Brentford needed to have any chance of a respectable finish this season.
