Staying or going?

Going will send the appropriate message. Let them walk around a sparsely populated Stadium.

I'll absolutely be staying. These lads have tried their hearts out for a number of seasons for us.  We've played Champions League football and got to another League Cup semi.

It will be the final chance to applaud someone like Trippier who was a transformational signing and probably others who will leave in the summer.

We don't demand a team that wins, we demand a team that tries.

Let's not forget how much we've fallen back in love with our football club because of a ropey season

Growth isn't linear, we're going to have lean years, we're going to have shit years. We're going to have years where there seems to be no point. Being taken over doesn't inoculate us from misfortune. This was a BAD season. Everyone is a little bit at fault, but we're still fans of the club. The players for the most part have given what the had to give. Onward and upward next season and let's not be Arsenal fans.

Great thread.

That's the spirit.

Of all he fucking shit we've had to put with over the years, including Steve Bruce's half a lap of dishonour because the fucking coward couldn't take it, you're calling this team out?

It certainly hasn't been an easy season but we've had a cup semi final, a CL knock-out and a decent FA Cup run.

We certainly haven't clicked on the pitch for most of the season, but fuck me. A lap of (dis)honour. Fucking cheek.

Hope Trippier gets the send off he deserves (tempted to get a ticket for that alone) but I'm not sure how much appetite there'll be from the fanbase to watch them parading around the pitch with their wives and kids in tow afterwards.

I expect people will start to drift away on 80 mins as usual (earlier if it's similar to West Ham H last season) and then a massive exodus at FT. Think the stands will be very sparse after that but we shall see. Maybe I'll be surprised. Most people just can't wait to see the back of this season.

Why not send a personal "Come and get me" plea to Mike Ashley while you are walking home early.

Why not just stand there and piss your pants.

Imagine the lift it will give the players and staff that despite a challenging season for various reasons, we all still love them for what they have delivered up to now.

Do people really drift off after 80 mins? I can't say I've really noticed that unless we're getting battered

Aye been happening for years tbf. The amount depends on the scoreline obviously. Remember Barry Venison having a pop at the fans in the family enclosure for sloping off well before the end of a 2-0 win v Watford in our 92/93 Promotion season [emoji38]

What is the “appropriate message”?

Can't say I've noticed much of that in recent years. Not any more than any other stadium anyway
