Zadok Yohanna: Newcastle make €24m bid to AIK (Expressen)

Can already sense the fan base stressing on socials about transfers and losing out on players. It’s going to be a long window for some people if they’ve started this uptight.

Brighton because they've showed interest throughout rather than last minute panic or Chelsea because the are going to pay him double to live in London. We're easily 3rd choice here, if we're a choice at all.

They have an agreement with the player and seem to be the only side who've made a decisive move of any sorts.

No contest once Stockpile FC enter the race tbh. Common sense and good career decisions go out of the window for players once they make their pitch to players

Doesn't sound like it.

I feels like every time another club comes to the table we’re just giving up. It’s probably not as straight forward as that, but it’s really frustating.

We were doing the opposite all last season and before...it was like flogging a dead horse regarding multiple targets

Brighton are a funny one to me.

At one stage they had a very justified reputation as talent developers with a number of big profits behind them. What gets less coverage is the costly flops. Georginio Rutter hasn't pulled up trees. Brajan Guda was quietly ushered back to Germany on loan. Matt O'Riley has been in and out.

They sign a lot of young players too that don't get near the first team. Ibrahim Osman was signed from Denmark at around the same age as this kid and hasn't kicked a ball for Brighton. It's one thing being promised a pathway, it's another thing actually getting it. The only reason they got Minteh off us was because they had some wedge behind them from selling Caicedo.

Think the move this summer will be to deny all bids and deny any significant progress, which is probably the way to go [emoji38]

Far less embarrassing if we get gazumped, and I guess it might also allow the club to convince others we aren't really progressing things till we're much further along [emoji38]

PIF have given the green light to push on with this deal according to Ryder.

Was hoping we wouldn't be needing their approval for deals this summer tbh.
